Has anyone out there written a guide article [or found similar elsewhere online] that outlines all non-vegetarian food addatives and ingrediants that may not always be obviously non-vegetarian... I'm currently on a cruisade to find out what things make not obviously non-vege food unsuitable, and any help would be greatly appreciated 
So far, from http://www.vegsoc.org/info/enumbers.html I have found that E120, E441 and E542 are always non-vegetarian an that there are aound 53 other E numbers that can either be vegetarian or non vegetarian.

As far as I know there's no Guide entry (although if I could be bothered doing a search I might be proved wrong!)...

I did a quick search on "vegetarian" and didn't see anything that would obviously lead to this... perhaps we should consider challenging h2g2?
