The natives are mostly friendly, but some huff and puff and frown at the use of text-talk.

Oh sorry about the text - talk - its just a natural reaction, and when I am writing at lunch time in school, then it is faster to type like that...
Anyway Im new to this so I dont really know how to write or anything!

Yes, you are right, I have spoken to him briefly, but don't know him.

My son's name is Alex, which was what made me ask, "Which Alex?" It would have been a strange coincidence, but has happened before.

How are you finding the site now, you finding your way about ok?

I read what you said about feeling you were being shouted at about the text-talk in the other thread. We weren't shouting out you, just being friendly and trying to save you from the s there are some Researchers who have very strong feelings about text-talk, and would have had 'a right go' at you about it.
