Things you can find on a train
Posted Feb 24, 2012
You would be surprised at some of the things you can find on a train,
a simple hairgrip you will find on every train. Then there are the finds that are dependent on weather conditions. Hat's, gloves, umbrellas and scarfs have been found regularly. Then there are the phones that people leave behind, they find a new home in the railways stations lost and found box waiting to be collected. So if you loose one on a train please contact them as it might have been found and handed in
The most unusual find to date must be the Stradivarius violin that was made in 1732, a beautiful instrument and one I thought I would never see in my life, it was a joy to hand it in and to find out that it had been reunited with it's owner, thanks to the fact that he had enclosed his contact detail's within the case.Although he was stunned to find out that it had been found and handed in.
This being said I would like to remind you all that should you travel by train please check that you have all your belongings with you when you leave it.

That was Quick
Posted Oct 26, 2011
Well I have just realised as of the 8th October I have now been here for 2 years It doesn't seem that long but you know what they say, "time goes quickly when your having fun".
A few things have changed during that time but more has stayed the same. The main change is that I don't have as much time to spend on here anymore as by the time I get home from work all I want to do is sleep. So I visit on my few days off.
to all those who have stuck by me and Thank you

Back To Work
Posted May 17, 2011
Just thought I would put the updates and progress in here rather than in bits and pieces all over the place.
Story so far: Last week I filled in all the forms and we had the induction. We also covered things like cover letters and CV's. Although I had already done a CV workshop back in March we have to do things their way and I found out that each place has it's "own" way of doing things.
Today I have done 23 cover letters and sent them off to various places so now its a case of waiting to see what happens. Will keep you posted of all the news of the replies and so on.
Tomorrow I have to sign on so I am not at TNG again until 9.30am Thursday.

RIP Gary Mason Boxing Champion
Posted Jan 10, 2011
Born 15th December 1962 Died 06th January 1911
Gary was a familiar face around Medway in the 80's and 90's and I had the pleasure of knowing this gentle giant.
I will never forget the first time we met. It was in a club in Gillingham and I had my right hand strapped up and he asked me what had happened so I explained, after which he jokingly said that he wouldn't want to be on the end of my right hook, This from a great boxing champ. Our paths crossed every now and then and he always said hello and had a brief chat.He was always polite and friendly and had an infectious laugh.
A good, kind and gentle friend who will be sadly missed by all those who new him.
He will never be forgotten.
