I wouldn't go around professing doubts about technology around here, they might consider you a zealot !!! 
Especially when Douglas Adams won't here a bar of it... 
Besides, far too much attention is focussed on the machines, when people should keep an eye on the people USING the machines...
BTW Look, I know the Devils Advocate personally, and to be quite frank, he is a little miffed that people automatically assume him to be in league with the 'infernal one'...
I know your I.T background holds you in good stead here, but if you have any problems don't hesitate to ask...
