Could be, but I don't think mankind will destroy itself. It's in the nature of living things, in the end they just want to live.
And I'm not a theoretical physicist, I'm in nanoscience. I can only keep your windscreen clean and stuff like that
...actually nanoscience could be more dangerous than THE bomb...

There was a programme on TV a while ago where a similar experiment to CERN got out of hand, and a mini black was created here on Earth....

I heard about that. But I also heard these black holes apear all the time on earth because of radiation from space. They are just too small to be noticed. And CERN can't create a black hole that is large enough to attract other matter, so it won't grow and become a real black hole... at least they can't do it yet...

But still, I don't think that the end of mankind will be due to the doing of mankind... an astroid maybe, or the sun runs out of power, something we don't have the slightest chance to prevent.
