greebo old friend! howya been? how's the hubby??
*scratches the tabby behind the ear, before producing a triple fudge donut just for her*
i brought you something!
brie, no worries! it's just fine!
now go to the bottom of your page, on the left hand side there's a thingy (yes, that's technical jargon... leave me alone!) that says "Most Recent Guide Entries".. there's an option to "add an entry" or some such nifty thing.. just click on that, and you're on your way! it's just like making your home page!
if you think that you may at some point want to submit it for approval, you may want to read the submission guidelines-there's a link for them right there on your page...
btw- if you want to use what you've already put up in your journal, just hilight all that text, right click, select "copy" and then paste it into the entry field! it's that simple, and then you can edit!
okey dokey.. i'll be here...

[breathes a sigh of relief]
If others were weirder, that's good enough for me.
[evil cackle]
Now I'm off looking at OTHER people's journal entries...

Actually, disregard that last message.
Something's screwy.
I meant to be replying to the one about other journal entries being odder...
[scratches head]
Oh well. Probably something weird I did.
Anyhow, thankee for all the help!

Okay, this is MAJORLY messed up now, and all by me. Sorry about double posting the last one, and it turned out, I hadn't clicked "Newer Posts," so I hadn't seen your post, Archangel... whoops.
I'm wondering. How exactly do you put brie cheese on townhouse crackers? I've never tried myself. Slice it, or spread it?

hehehe.. looks like you're having fun!
what, you're asking ME how i eat brie? i eat brie any and every way possible, with A LOT being my favorite method...
actually, i tend to slice the brie, then smoosh/squish it onto the townhouse. i used to use ritz, but the townhouse are more buttery and less salty, and they ad a really nice soft flavor...
listen to me... like i know what i'm talking about! i'm no gourmet!!

Call me a troglodyte, but brie and camembert are nearly the same, yes? Apart from the flavour.
Anyway, in case you're interested, I'll tell you how I eat mine, for fear of making a fool of myself.
I cut the rind off. *gasp* and then put it on bread. But it does have to be nice bread. Or cream crackers. Jacobs, preferably.

[gasp] How... could... you... EVER... compare... lowly... CAMEMBERT... with... BRIE...?? Yes, I'm a bit nutty today. Don't mind me. But seriously, I strongly strongly strongly dislike camembert. Yucky stuff, I don't know how it can look so similar to brie and taste so much worse.
Actually, I probably will write those down, 'cause I only have one way of eating mine. I eat the rind (so THAT'S what it's called... [mutters about bad vocabulary]) first, then try to get the rest of it in my mouth before it slips off my fingers. Which happens often.

Personally, I prefer camembert. I think. But surely the king of all cheeses is the mighty cheddar? I prostrate myself before its subtle-flavoured majesty. There are so many delicious permutations and - I'll stop, shall I?
I've been advised that brie is good melted ontop a breadstick. Perhaps with a selection of garnishes. Yum.

ixnay on the indray here too! can't stand the stuff! (it's just mold you know- how horrid!!)
camembert is the chimney sweeps of cheese- smart mouthed and ill mannered... and while cheddar IS truly a worthy cheese, and suitable for sandwiches and broccoli sauce, it is ne'er to be compared to the king- nay! QUEEN of all cheeses... the inimitable BRIE. brie is to be delicately handled, tenderly sliced, gently applied, reverently inhaled, jealously guarded.. then savored with every ounce of the soul.
ok, i'm going to the store now!

Hi Diathione!
Okay, so far:
1. Eat normally. Slice into quarters or eighths and chomp.
2. Eat the rind first, then try to stuff the remaining cheese in your mouth and chomp (if you can chomp the stuff by that time).
3. Slice it and put it on crackers or bread. Chop off rind if you don't like it.
4. Melt it over bread sticks.
I can't believe I'm actually writing this...
