people keep suggesting that maybe the letter got lost in the mail.

i e-mailed NYU today to ask if i should be worrying that my letter hasn't arrived. the webpage says i should hear in "december or january". could you BE any MORE VAGUE?! you might as well say "sometime between now and never"!!!!!!!!

Day Nineteen in the Epic Saga...
Posted Jan 2, 2001
I just checked the mail IRL. two possibilities:
1. it hasn't come yet.
2. there was no mail today.
the latter is highly unlikely with the amount of junk mail that gets sent to us, here in the US. it's enough to make someone go crazy!
*sob* NINETEEN DAYS! MUST YOU TORTURE ME LIKE THIS?!?!?!
(i was hoping to get the letter by today, because i go back to school tomorrow, and i wanted to be able to tell everyone that i got my letter... keep me in your thoughts, i really want to get in! i swear, i will CRY if i don't!!!!!!!)

h2g2 Researchers Meetings
Posted Nov 26, 2000
out of curiousity, why are they all in england? i realize that the English are the majority of researchers... but come on! i would say we should have one in the US, but it's rather large... i guess that's why they are all in england... it's small enough that it's not too far from everyone.
drat.

sea's hideout
Posted Nov 13, 2000
*sea, sitting in her office with the architect and contractors, is reviewing a model of the hideout that she is about to have built*
[sea] so most of it will be underground?
[architect] yes, ma'am. your existing lab will be connected, and we are building a factory for... whatever you choose to manufacture. there will also be a garage, and *ahem* those OTHER facilities we spoke of earlier. the part that is above ground will look very much like a castle.
[sea] earth, thirteenth century?
[architect] of course. fifteen bedrooms, fifteen baths, one master suite with private bath, one fully-stocked library, and an indoor pool.
[sea] *to the contractors* is this all feasible?
[contractor] we've gone over the plans with the architect, and we've decided it will take.... one week.
[sea] excellent. and how much will it cost?
*the architect and contractors look at each other nervously*
[architect] we're not exactly sure yet, ma'am, but right now the estimate is... ahem... thirteen million earth dollars.
*sea looks unperturbed*
[sea] good. commence the construction.
*the architect and contractors leave. sea leans back in her chair and puts her feet up on her desk*
[sea] at last... my own evil hideaway...
*sea laughs maniacally*
