WHY is it so FREEZING COLD here?!
yes, i realize it's january. i realize that we're in the dead of winter.
BUT I'M IN CALIFORNIA!
california usually doesn't get any colder than 60 degrees. the past few weeks, it's been closer to 45.
it-t-ts-s-s-s c-c-c-old-d-d-d-d out-t-t-t t-t-ther-r-re!!!!

"Deferred"- what a HORRID word.

well. i guess you all have heard that i called NYU today and found out that i have been deferred.
'what the heck does THAT mean?' you ask.
ah, let me explain.
i applied early decision, which means i sent in my app in november and i was notified in january (4 months before everyone else will be hearing).
well, i didn't get accepted, but i didn't get rejected either. which is good and bad.
that's what "deferred" means. basically, they didn't want to reject me so they tossed my app into the pile of regular decision applications. so i get a second chance to get in.
and although it's not as bad as being rejected, being deferred is still REALLY REALLY disappointing.

i'm so afraid.

this is STUPID. why am i getting so worked up about a college?! it's NOT the end of the world.
who am i kidding?! i don't even believe MYSELF.
pray for me. pray for my future. but most of all, pray for my sanity.

well, i e-mailed NYU the other day to ask if i should be worried about the absence of my letter.
they said that if i haven't gotten it by monday, i should call them.
do you know what this MEANS?
it got LOST in the MAIL!!!!!
i have lost all faith in the postal service.
they could have sent it immediately after reviewing it. it could have been an automatic REJECTION!!!!
i'm having a mental breakdown.... *sob*
