Thanks GB! Not ignoring this - just trying to find some space to have a proper look.
Quick photo thing - the one of the cake would be better next to the 'pudding' section.
I'm not sure about putting the toasts, which were in the footnotes, back in the text - the story one is too long. Better to leave it out altogether.
I'll have a proper look later.

The length of the footnote is what bothered me - which is why I put it in the text. I can remove it altogether and just suggest a synopsis? It's your entry - up to you

I've removed the large footnote/toast altogether, and added some h2g2 links for your approval. If this is OK and you are happy with your Entry I'll return it to the Eds for final polish. Thanks for writing it, I really enjoyed subbing it and learning about Russian etiquette!

We could [ut a link in a footnote? So at the end of the section about toasts, where it says '...with a moral at the end' we could add: For more toasts see this site (in Russian)'. http://www.toast.ru/toast/index.shtml
or if you don;t want to link to russian sites: http://www.funrussian.com/2012/01/24/russian-toasts/ which might well be better as it gives more explanations as well as examples, and gives a link to the3 Russian site anyway.

Cool!
One last thing (sorry). I noticed that there is an asterisk after 'flowers' (the last word in the puddings paragraph. This was because I meant to add a footnote which went 'Make sure you only bring an odd number. Even numbers are for funerals.'
Sorry. I really appreciate sub editing - I have no proof readings skills!

Hiya Sol!
We have fixed the problem of the missing footnote in Pliny (that was displaying ok in Classic Goo). We think this was because it was written as , we changed it to and it appears to be displaying correctly now. Can you confirm you can see it now?
