Hi, Solnushka. Was it you who coined the phrase 'Unified Guide Theory' or was it me? Or did the idea occur to both of us at about the same time?
Regardless of the answer, I think we should both get in there and explain what we really mean by Unified Guide Theory in the next couple of days.

You. For sure. Sorry, I pinched it for the blog. I thought it was a fab turn of phrase. It precisely decribes what it is we're... Um yes. Where?

Don't apologize; I'm glad you pinched it. It's just that, with so many of us thinking along the same lines, I wasn't sure if I had pinched it from you.
Please have a look at A81667227, if you have a chance.

Great description. Where are you planning on pimping it? I suppose that it isn't precisely h2g2c3 stuff.

I think I originally started talking about UGT in Ben's journal, maybe(?) but I think it should eventually be part of Magrathea. I just wanted to make sure I got everything down in general enough terms that it wasn't too restrictive.
I imagine that a newbie is presented with some (limited) choices, even a guided tour, and then as she gets accustomed to the site, can start to tailor her interface to include the tools that she finds most handy in the colors that suit her mood and the typeface easiest on her eyes.
