Did I mention I greatly enjoyed my stay with you? Dead cool so it was.

Life continues apace here. Although I cant get at my office or computer because someone just discovered asbestos during building work in the department and my last cold light souce just blew so I'm going to have to fix one of them.

Just got a letter saying something like 'the commity is pleased to inform you that your yearly progess report has been deemed satisfactory and you are free to continue on to the second year of your PhD' which is nice, but odd as I havn't written a yearly report yet.

Anyway, I find myself needing to explain precisly why Stevenage is somewhere any right thinking person would want to escape from, but like 'why is Margaret Thatcher evil', this is one of those so totally self evident that I've forgotten the answer questions. I'm going for a hopes and dreams gone wrong feel with the essay. Can you help?

And what does Solnuska mean

Dear god, sorry! I failed miserably to check down here and find you down here. The stress of this dam course is definitely getting to me. Two more weeks to go and then I can get on with my life. I'm too old for further education...

Glad you enjoyed the stay. So did I! You just missed the really hot weather, you'll be pleased to hear. Right after you went it soared over 30 degrees and stayed there. Horrible.

Solnushka means sun. Well, actually it means cute little sunny wunny oochie coo, as its a sort of pet name, like calling someone sweetie or something. I've spelled it wrong, cos that's how you say it.

Stevenage is only the worst place on eartgh until someone not from there starts bad mouthing it. At that point you are forced to wrap yourself in the flag and shoot the dogs down...
