I'm curious about the 'smith' - how on earth did you come to that conclusion from learning my RL last name?

Actually, I hate to say it but it was a joke. It's one if the most common surnames here, or we think it is.
Is that the derivation then?

I'm trying to remember a Russian expression I've come across somewhere in the past - although it might be 'kitchen Russian' just like 'njet ponimai' - something most of the elderly generation of Finns know how to say, but it's hardly grammatically correct, is it?
The trouble is I can't remember the first two words, it's hearing the third that triggered my memory.
The first word rhymes with the third, and the one in the middle is, I think. Russian for 'and'.
