Who is this man, this myth, this legend, this guy they call . . . Tim
Last update: October 2, 2000
Well, I'm a game programmer, currently working on a PS2 game that I can't name yet I live in Silicon Valley, along with a significant fraction of the American game developers. I spend my time playing other people's games, playing with various techno-geeky toys, reading (mostly sci-fi), and occasionally brewing my own beer.
I suspect that I need to add hanging out on h2g2 to that list of time-wasters, but we'll see as time goes on . . . .
My wife tolerates all of this childishness with the professional patience that being an elementary school teacher provides. My two cats tolerate all the childishness somewhat less gracefully, mainly through embarking on a reign of terror occasionally to remind me who really runs the household.
Current Game Favorites:
- Crimson Skies (PC)
- Deus Ex (PC)
- It's a pretty slow time for console games. I'm playing a litte Pokemon Puzzle League and Mario Tennis on N64, but truthfully it's ALL about Crimson Skies!
Current Book: Hmm, nothing really, I have a new William Gibson book, but I haven't started it yet. I'm reading the new Dungeons and Dragons Players Handbook though!
Current Music: I bought Karin tickets to Barenaked Ladies in concert, so I've been listening to a lot of BNL. I've got Rock Spectacle and Stunt here in my MP3 playlist. It's not completely my bag, but they are growing on me. Karin has the new one (Maroon) in her possession, so I haven't listened to it yet.
Current Random Obssessions:- Urusei Yatsura! I finally got my 5 DVD box set with the first 20 episodes. I LOVE this show. You can get them in the US, take a gander at Animeigo
- Computer Nonsense. I FINALLY got a broadband connection, albeit a slow one (It's a 144K IDSL line, about 3 times faster than analog modem). And Karin just got a new laptop. So I've been having all kinds of fun messing around with setting up a network, a linux machine, a web server, etc. etc. etc. But it should all be cool once it's working!
