Hey hey Thursday.

After a couple of days of thingite research, I was considering pledging my allegence to your cause.

I personally consider the word "thing" to be one of the most usefull words in the english language... and thus using it as a Day seems a total waste. Sentences like "Hey, you... thing! Pass us that thingie-mabob, i need it to finish this thing" are rendered entirely meaningless due to irresponsible vocab changes.

I'm also not a fan of their blasphemy style ban of the word thursday, which means that not only one word ("thing") is wasted, but a whole host of perfectly servicable words is flushed down the loo. Have they no sense of recycling?? Do they not know that words aren't a renewable resource?? What about all the creatures who are left homeless by this rampant de-wordification?

Anyway... off i sauntered to the T3N thread, ready to say hi... when what should I notice? De-wordification! Am I to gather that mention of my personal favourate "thing" has been banned? Must we use inferior words that cannot possibly approach its glory? (like "theng"??)

Please say it is not the case... for If it is so, I am afraid that i will be unable to join your fine society for exactly the same reasons that I will veto the Thingites.

Don't worry - the theng thing was just a phase we were going through - it wasn't actually getting us anywhere, but it seems to have lingered momentarily in the suject box.
