i'm so looking forward to everything - I've jacked in my temping job at Quintiles, and now start on the 21 Sep. Finally, things may well be looking up. I'm even hoping to get a mortgage!

Thanks guys - having just had my second pay check I can confirm that it is as fabby as I thought it would be smiley - biggrin My first trip is to pop around the hard to get to islands that were missed out of the last big upgrade. So I'm off to Tobomory, Colonsay, Coll in a few weeks time. And I might be off to Oban and Uig next week if I can wangle it. I'm not beaming with joy. Honest. smiley - winkeye

The only downside at the mo is the travelling. Depending on the traffic it can take up to 2 hours each way. And, at the minute the govt are taking far too much on account of me being on a BR code. Which is the code for having 2 jobs - the relic of being with an agency apparently. So, instead of takign 300 a month, they're taking almost double. Thanks Mr. Blair.

At least I'll get a lovely tax rebate - hopefully next month in time for Christmas! smiley - smiley

Also, I guess I should put it on here - DD has said elsewhere, but it seems to have gone mostly un-noticed. For those that dont know, we have split up, though extremely amicably and we do still live in the same house. With me moving in the near future to be closer to work, and with DD having a phenomenal chance of election in 2 years time, it seemed the logical thing to do. Its been a fun 5 years, but for him to walk away from this opportunity and have to start again from the bottom seems daft. Anyways, there. Its been a great 5 years. smiley - smiley Wouldnt have changed it for the world.

You'll be lucky - when I started work after being a non-taxer payer I had to wait for the end of the financial year to get my tax back. smiley - cross

The joys - I'm not counting on it being there, but it would be a lovely present! Hmm, the govt dont tend to give them out much...
