Pizza
In all the universes, Pizza is probably the best and most convenient source of sustenence. Carbohydrates, Proteins, Fats and Vitamins are all gathered in one easy-to-prepare source in this pie-like dish, made popular on the late planet Earth but orginally invented on one of the outer moons of Petrianus 5 at a Petrianoid military installation. The inhabitants of that particular planet are two-dimensional, and would appear to most folk as animated drawings or such. Therefore, their food supplies must be in a form as to make it viable to store them in a two-dimensional world. In fact, the word "pizza" is a Petrianoid word meaning "puddle". According to records, a Petrianoid ship crash-landed in the nation of Italy on the planet Earth some time in what Earthlings consider the late 15th Century of their society. A local chef found the craft and its supply of foodstuffs, the pilot happily having teleported himself to safety shortly after launch. Due to the Earth's comparatively low gravity, the pizzas managed to expand to approximately an inch in thickness. The pizzas were remarkably tasty to the humans, and thus, pizza became popular throughout the universe.
