Well, Then
Posted Dec 18, 2003
The last of my entries on tables has been published as part of the Edited Guide. I'm very glad to have that done.
Now, I *could* write a column to The Post about my experience. I might or might not include some updated statistics on h2g2's progress along with a abbreviated overview of how things have changed since I last wrote.
But honestly, I'm not sure when I'd have the time to do it. The holiday rush is upon me, and I already have little to no time to spare.
Ah, well. Things will get done as they get done. Or not.

Hurrah for Tables!
Posted Sep 26, 2003
My fascination with tables has run its course. All three entries are in the Editing process now. I'll go ahead and stick them on my page.
If I do something next, I'd like it to be considerably less serious. It would be fun to write something for the Underguide, for instance. But what? Ah, the challenge of being funny and interesting while breaking all the rules for the Edited Guide.
I wonder if I should get in touch with the Post again. I dunno. I remember the old column days. And I'm not sure I'm ready for a regular commitment yet. Better to take things one entry at a time for now.

Physical Tables Now Accounted For; Theoretical Tables Still In Limbo
Posted Sep 10, 2003
My entry on Furniture Tables was accepted yesterday. Hurrah! It feels the remainder of the great tables project is downhill from here.
I've revised the entry on Conceptual Tables to add more detailed information on land tables and a reference to the periodic table table. (No, that wasn't an error.) Next up is a description of time tables.
Meanwhile, my interactive fiction project is off the ground. I had five participants for the first chapter. Now that the second chapter is written and I have a handle on the process, I think I'll put in a public plug at h2g2. I hear external links are allowed these days.

One Table Down, 15,245,156,245 To Go
Posted Sep 3, 2003
My entry on the Round Table has been Scouted. It will now head to an Editor, and will eventually make it to h2g2's front page.
The entry on Furniture Tables still waits, in even longer form than when it was submitted. I have responded to many comments and suggestions, and the advice seems to have died down.
The entry on Conceptual Tables is the most in need of help. I have apparently failed to take into account the varying definitions for what a "land table" is. I'll have to study up and revise.
