Titania (gone for lunch)

Oh, and as for not being able to tank with beastmaster as one of my souls:

My guild mates were kind enough to bring my level 40 warrior on a quest run (all the other team members were level 49-50) and somehow, Zinra was able to pull more aggro than the most experienced of the other warriors.

Not so good on this occasion though, since the mobs were level 50 (some of them elite) and I got one hitted.

So now I'm trying to come up with a warrior role that still includes beast master as one of the souls (love my pet Stripes) but without pullingg aggro, in case they invite Zinra on another taxing run.

So great guild, all adults except an 18-year-old youth who's quite the tease. And amazingly many female players in it, too.

And yes, I know you can't trust everything people tell you in guild chat (certainly not the teaser) but I really don't see why they would lie. There are several couples gaming together.

Oh, and a majority have played WoW but gotten fed up with it, especially after Cataclysm. Every now and then we'll go nostalgic and compare our best memories.

Ran across one of us 'crazy lot' today, who needed help with a quest. She hadn't had much time to play, so was 9 levels lower than my warrior.

Her quest: to close 4 portals at each corner of The Sagespire. The trouble is that as long as the portals are open, portal mobs will keep pouring out of them.

So our strategy was for her to run to a portal, me and my pet pulling aggro and attacking anything that attacked her, then she ran slightly ahead to next portal, with myself and my pet following her with a train of mobs, new pulls, new attacks. By the fourth portal, it was a complete chaos.

And, to top it off, the NPC that she was to hand in the quest to once complete was helping to fight the portal mobs - and you can't talk to a NPC in mid fight...

I think my little warrior died 4 times before we were done - I didn't keep track of how many times her rogue died.

But it was wild! And crazy! And fun!

Why hang around waiting for more people to volunteer (there were no others in the immediate quest area) when you *can do it as long as you don't care how many times you die?

Ever since my warrior Zinra got one-hitted right after logging on in what she thought was a safe place (the Gloamwood Inn, with an elite Werewolf lurking inside) she feels uncomfortable whenever coming across an area with dead bodies (the inn was full of them).

That feeling of someone watching you, and you keep looking over your shoulder...

I think the Rift/Trion support is located somewhere in India, or thereabouts.

So far, I've found their replies helpful once (when they removed glowing eyes from one of my characters, no idea how she got them, but the phenomenon is gone now).

All the other times have been a source of great disappointment, mostly referring to fellow players and forums - well duh! I always google before I even decide to take the step to report an issue!

Also, Trion has no cross-counter account support function. The person who replies to your issue only replies to that one character on that one shard (server).

After extensive gaming with Skyrim, I am sort of starting to long for the social bit that online gaming means (the only one I usually see on Steam while playing Skyrim is Mr D, who I've d a few times).

I spent several hours last Saturday downloading updates, and refreshing my subscription and hey presto - it's all there, just the way I left it.

I started a new character because frankly, I've forgotten most of the controls and things.

It's eerily quiet though, and the WoW kids seem to have abandonned ship, leaving only adults who have, so far (two evenings of gaming) been nice enough.

I only saw a few guildies online, but not the guild leader nor the ones I've learnt to know the best. Could be they've started anew as well - hmmm...

Ahaha - but some übers are still left around feeling smug! When my level 23 cleric healer asked around for a group, I got told by a level 50 that *he had soloed it as a level 18 rogue. Well, thank you, but last time I tried it was at level 21, and they just butchered me.

Hard to tell if folks like this are telling lies or being over-equipped at the time they did it - if they did...

Oh, and the best part? I posted my LFG in the 'level 1-29' channel and the character that whispered me was level 50. So... in order to 'hear' my request he had to have been logged on with a lower level character and then switched to a high level character to 'tell me I should be able to solo it'. Pfft!

Don't worry Milla smiley - hug I doubt he even told the truth, probably just wanted to set me up. At level 23, there is still no chance of me soloing them (2 attempts, 2 fails).

Back to Rift after almost 6 months of playing Skyrim, and you got to love the way some techies express themselves. From the latest update note:

'White Wedding garb and veil have agreed to stop eating dyes withouth changing colour' smiley - laugh
