Brackets?
It would appear that I left myself logged in when I went back to work. I hope nobody got confused!

Aha! Proof! It's *not* always me that lowers the tone. Usually, but not always.
Why isn't 'manifold' a euphemism for foreskin? I've wondered that for at least fifteen years.

Seems to me that if someone comes here and writes something and makes a mistake in spelling or punctuation then most of you totally ignore them. What are you trying to do ?make an elite class? if so then fine go make your own coffee cup beer glass or house even cause most people need help[ when doing something new.
Sorry Roy not aimed at you

Ok let's put it another way Let's suppose you want a new garden gate with a few twists in the uprights and some S scrolls and C scrolls or even a heart shape in the middle can you make it or do you need help in making the hinge even .

swl Posted Jan 17, 2007
I could make the gate. And the hinges.

It's not so much less than perfect grammar and punctuation that annoys me (that'd make me a hypocrite ), but it's that people just don't seem to even try anymore. And as for spelling, I actually saw someone put an R in thought the other day instead of the H..that really wound me up, but then I'm getting old and grouchy.
It is the responsibility of parents as well as teachers to make sure kids at least know the basics. I started teaching my Josh to read and write in fun ways before he started primary school, now he corrects my spelling!

Trought? That's an odd one.
My folks started me reading when I was very young, and I think I learned punctuation by default. Not sure though, 'twas a long, long time ago.
