Coins are the Finder's
Loss and Gain have equal and opposite effects respectively.
Gain
Finding coins on the ground while walking about is great. It can be done anywhere. The city is well known for numerous coins laying about, especially in small fountains and pools of water. The greatest satisfaction comes from the pavement variety though.
A sense of a job well done and a completion to the day comes onto the reciever when the coin is acheived. One would spy the shiny peice of metal, stare at it for a second as it lies happily at one's feet, then slowly bend down and retreive the new funds into the collection hidden in deep pockets.
The value of the coin can increase the feelings one might have. An example would be if you found two dollars. Put yourslef in those shoes and you will see that you are much happier than if you found five cents.
Cumulative findings can have an exponential effect on the picker-upper-er. A single coin is good, but if you find another a few steps away then the exhilaration and suprise is much greater than if the total value of both the coins was found in just one coin. Three coins is rare but worth the wait. Walk down enough roads, possibly more than fourty two, and the occasion may arrise.
In these instances money will bring you happiness, if only for a day.
There are times when one can find coins not only when walking along but anywhere in everyday life. The ol' faithful of the scrounges' monetry source lies in the very seats we sit in. Hundreds, maybe even thousands, of coins are lost down the sides of seats every year. It is up to us saviours to rescue all of those helpless coins from an eternity under the rear ends of humans. Simply move the cushions from the seat and peer at what is underneath. Hands are most useful for those hard to reach places down the sides and back of the infamous 'lounge'.
There are plenty of other places to find the elusive coin. Car floors, bottom drawers, old money tins, etc etc.
Loss
Losing the coin can be despairing. If possible, attempt not to fall victim to the loss of one or more coins. Hopefuly someone out there, somewhere, has dropped a coin -much the same as yours- and your path will take you to that coin. This way the loser will always become the winner, the cycle will continue forever and we will never be out of pocket ever again.
