Hi Y'all
Hello, from the Edge of South Carolina! Lots of fun (and oddly entertaining) things to research down here (over here, or up here--depending on where you are.) I am looking forward to sharing some things from 'the lowcountry' as it is called with folks in the h2 community.I'm a forty year old twenty-something. My husband and I ran away to the beach from the city about 15 years ago, and live in a comfortable if not spacially challenged house not too far from the water. Amazing what a quick run down to the sand can do for your peace of mind when all that bothersome reality stuff starts getting at you...especially now before all the summer people get here. Solitary moments--the sound of the waves and the mist on your skin are more healing than a day at a spa. (I'm guessing here. I've never actually been to a spa. Maybe I should try it--for research purposes, of course.)
ADDENDUM: Time is a funny thing. It has an entropic quality to it....dragging along when you would like it to move on, and bounding away when you desperately need it to just calm down and reconsider itself. A few months ago (108 months to be exact) I entered this site and was so tickled. A slew of Douglas Adams fans with space for sharing ideas and having fun? It was too good to be true...such smart and witty observations, actual editing and geek-a-licious good times. I was going to spend ALOT of time here. And so I did. I just didn't log on. But my heart was, and is, with you. I am now a fifty year old twenty-something beach bum...time and ocean water under the bridge, but so glad to be back on. I might even log in.
