Hello
I am a neophite to the world of chatting through boxes that sit on other boxes within boxes and, in my particular case, perched on the side of a mountain astounding the present gravitational pull by resisting the urge to throw itself into the shallow, but very fast river below. It feels quite clandestine and almost exciting.
I am the self-proclaimed Boundless Bert and am interested to know what I have been missing through the seemingly fathomless depths of h2g2. Anyone like to help?..............................
Having now had a bit of a look around, it occurs to me that it might be a handy if I gave out basic info about myself ...
Here goes - originally from States; studied Spanish and Political Science; spent 9 months studying in Colombia (programme was cancelled after that, nothing to do with me - really!); moved to Paris 21 years ago; spent 9 years there not really enjoying it, but met plenty of brill Irish friends and (now) ex-husband; moved to England; moved to North Wales; have three children, 2 cats, 10 chickens (sell free range eggs), job in secondary school with Asperger's Syndrome kids; am studying for Psychology degree through OU and hope to get my doctorate before I'm 50 (am currently 44, but young for my age); love the countryside, keeping fit, music (not really too into hard thrash or gangsta rap, though), cooking, organic gardening, reading, learning (current job in school is boss! classes all day with no homework or tests!), red wine, time spent with and talking to friends, yoga, tennis, documentaries, Bill Bryson, etc. etc.
