*grins at the mysteriously annoying Fish*
Aha I see you cracked the highly complex clues left by Richard/Bagpuss thensmiley - biggrin
I did tell him not to mention I wasn't the real Tinkerbell and he lasted for several weeks so I can't complain...

Umm!??

Post 3

The Fish

Yes... it was just we'd never actually discussed something as Reallife as names before smiley - winkeye
How did you know mine was Ben?
*has to admit that he isn't really a fish.... smiley - sadface*

smiley - biggrin
smiley - fish

Umm?!?

Post 4

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed*

*grins*
I didn't intentionally discuss that, there was only Richard who knew my name but that kinda failed when he started using it in postssmiley - smiley

You told me it was Ben...well not in so many words but I mentioned Bens Cookie shop and you muttered about how you didn't own a cookie shop which kind of gave it away somewhat as you could either be called Millie or Ben and of the two the latter seemed more likely...

*can't admit that she's not a fairy without clapping her hands and if she claps her hands she can't type so doesn't*

Umm?!?

Post 5

The Fish

Would you have been as elusive about your name, as you've been about your car??? smiley - biggrin

I guess that kind of gave it away, didn't it smiley - winkeye My full name is really "Benjamin John Charles Franklin" smiley - ok but you can call me Fish smiley - cool

smiley - fish

Umm??!

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed*

Elusive? Moi?? I was just being mysterious smiley - cool

But no, if anyone had asked I would have told them...having said that I told Richard and he didn't ask but I already knew his name so it just seemed fairsmiley - biggrin Though on a similar thing Wumbeevil spent weeks trying to guess but never actually thought to ask me so I never told him...
*realises that's entirely irrelevant*

Well you could have been called Millie...
*thinks*
That's a fun name...I'm not telling you the rest of my name as I found out the other month that it was actually the end of my first name and I never actually realised that, just always assumed it was my middle namesmiley - biggrin

Umm??!

Post 7

The Fish

So.... do you have a middle name then... smiley - biggrin

smiley - fish

Umm??!

Post 8

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed*

Nope...well until a few months ago it was Anne but now I'm Fiona-Anne and proud!
*smiles mysteriously*
I'm glad to see you've changed your name I was going to lodge a complaint about your blatant misinformation as you weren't sleeping at all because I've seen half of your head smiley - smiley
Oh and I have a kg of your cookies...well on Saturday I had a kg of your cookies now I just have 7 but in my defence my best mate ate 1 too...

Umm??!

Post 9

The Fish

Nope! I was definitely asleep in those pictures smiley - winkeyesmiley - biggrin

That's a very nice name smiley - smiley I like it smiley - biggrin

I'll have to drop by Oxford sometime and get me some... smiley - winkeye

Not unless you sleep standing up on the tube with your eyes open smiley - smiley And I found you in your pictures too now and you look pretty unasleep in those as well...

Thank you smiley - biggrin I used it on one of my university applications but that's generally it...although having said that for the past two years I used it whilst in our band and on our media videos...
*waits for the laughing to stop*

So are you Ben or Benjamin generally? All the Benjamins I know are normally Ben but then all the Ben's I know generally get called by their surnames anyway so that may not be a good sample...

I have one less than a few hours ago but I suppose I need to eat them soon or they'll stop being soft...at least that's my excusesmiley - smiley

I'm going to campaign to get the next meet-up in Oxford as then I stand a better chance of being able to go so maybe I could use cookies as an incentive to go there... Do you think the italicy people like cookies?

Umm??!

Post 11

Bagpuss

Just spotted this thread. Sorry for the giveaway. I let my own name be known probably due to having been on some newsgroups where people assume that concealing your real name is a sign of being up to no good.

Fiona-Anne? That may be giving me more clues as to what you were known as in that band you mentioned...

On the tube!????? I traveled to London along the Thames I'll have you know! smiley - winkeye

smiley - biggrin

Physically I was awake.... but Mentally I assure you I was asleep.. smiley - cool

A band!?? Cool, what sort? What do you play?! And what's it called? smiley - biggrin

Well.... two people call me Benjamin... Most call me Ben... and my old friends from primary and secondary schools call me Frank... as in "Frank"lin.... smiley - winkeye and a mate at work used to call me John.. smiley - biggrin

Eeerrgggg hard cookies! smiley - illsmiley - biggrin It should be an offence to leave cookies that long!

I somehow think that cheap drink is more on the minds of Italics than anything else... But I'm sure they appreciate cookies as well smiley - winkeye

*grins at Bagpuss*
I thought I told you the name? In the other random thread over there...
*gives directions to the Ministry*

So did you go via a train on the Thames as there's a distinct picture of someone who claimed to be you with the back of Peregrin's head on a train like thing somewhere in London...
*goes to investigate*
Maybe it's not you then...maybe it's someone else pretending to be you in all the photos...

Hmmm you looked quite awake to me...

We don't have a nosey smiley? Surely not...we have smileys who've had too much curry, weebles and those that are mugging each other but we don't have a nosey smiley?
*mumbles something under her breath about the band*
So thats what it was smiley - biggrin

*grins*
I guessed the Frank part...I only call Bens, Benjamin when they're doing something mean as it has a tendency to stop them... smiley - smiley

Don't worry about the cookies, I miscounted and there are still 8 left smiley - bigeyes So I reckon I can ration them to 6 tomorrow and 2 in a minute and that should save themsmiley - winkeye

Hmmm...there's cheaper drink in Oxford than in London but I tried that last time...

Umm??!

Post 14

The Fish

That was a bus.... and that certainly wasn't me.... smiley - cool

Why wont you tell me about your band... smiley - tongueout I'll tell you about mine if you like smiley - smiley

Yeah... that's my mum sometimes does.... smiley - winkeye So... what's your last name? smiley - smiley

Sounds like a well though out plan... smiley - winkeye I'll have to go up the road sometime, and restock my supply of junk food smiley - bigeyes

There's cheaper drink in the North... ALOT cheaper.... but it's so far away... smiley - erm

smiley - fish

Umm??!

Post 15

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed*

Well if you say so...I'm still not convinced as it looks like the person claiming to be you on the other photos smiley - winkeye

My band is iffy...we were kind of set up as a media project...
*allows for laughter*
And then we kind of took it too seriously and now have fanzine and video, which I might add is stunning and the editing is just superb along with the excellent storyboarding...and I'm not just saying that as I did it honestly smiley - smiley
*grins*
And my tambourine playing is outstandingsmiley - winkeye

You think maybe I should go for 6 now and two tomorrow?

Oxfords not north? And yes our local has £1 a pint virtually every day smiley - bigeyes

Umm??!

Post 16

The Fish

Of course it's North! smiley - biggrin

I wish Reading was that cheap.. smiley - sadface It's getting to upmarket round here... smiley - tongueout

Do you have a Name then? or even a website... smiley - winkeye
Anyway, I thought you played guitar... smiley - smiley

I think those 2 would feel very loanly at night..... smiley - biggrin

smiley - fish

Umm??!

Post 17

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed*

Well it's north from Reading admittedly but it's miles south from me smiley - biggrin

What is interesting is that my mate managed to buy vodka shots at one point which worked out at something like 60p which was very strange...and weirder still is that it's more expensive to buy a half than it is to buy a pint?

And I see that you switched the order round to try and induce enough confusion that I'd not notice your blatant non-sleepness in the photos but ha!
*forgets her point and gives up*

Yes thank you, I have a namesmiley - winkeye No we don't have a website as that would be sheer foolishness for us as everyone's off at uni now... but I still have the first video which I may have mentioned was quite outstanding as far as videos go smiley - winkeye I did play guitar but in the video I was singing and tambourining as there was an image we were aiming for but apparantly I looked more like a tree fairy...which is quite ironic considering smiley - smiley

So what's you band then?
*smiles*
Are you the guitarist?

Actually I have shocking news to break that I only ate 1 cookie yesterday and theres still 7 left...having said that my brothers back for a while now so I assume that'll not last smiley - winkeye

Umm??!

Post 18

The Fish

Where is it more expencive to buy a half than a pint!!! smiley - erm

Oh... smiley - sadface We have (ish) one.... It's a bit poor though.... smiley - smiley
I try to be the rhythem or even attempt bass sometimes... I've even been roped into drumming sometimes smiley - bigeyes

You should be asgamed of yourself! Only one indeed! I'd have expected far more from a lass of your calliber smiley - biggrinsmiley - biggrinsmiley - biggrinsmiley - biggrinsmiley - biggrinsmiley - biggrin

Drinks generally get more expensive as you go south. In Leeds a lot of people were impressed at how cheap the Union bar is, whereas it's the same price as one of the more expensive pubs in Guisborough. I suspect being in a city has something to do with it, though. Still, I shudder to think how much my sister's paying for her drinks in the deep south of Nottingham.
