h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Dmitri mentioned you in his Writing Right column in this weeks concerning 'staircases' I wrote the h2g2 Entry on the subject A2284148.

I gave him a reply on his comment about 'staircases' , which are a big part of y every day work. I am a designer for an architectural metal fabrication factory. He had mentioned you by name, and told me we should talk.

oh dear, yes, staircases...

As you say in your post they always have to be as small as possible - and still they get in the way of everything else. I could also never get the hang of staircases which were not straight. I never understood how to draw them correctly.

I generally have problems with too large circulation spaces in my buildings. Malabarista always used to make fun of me. But I definitely improved over the years. I mostly work in planning appartments, you can't afford large circulation spaces in that area.
