Tav, we need a cover photo to replace the drab default one we have at https://plus.google.com/111101152609868556485/posts
The dimensions are 2120 pixels by 1192 pixels. I don't know if you want to run a competition via the Artists or something to get it?
Actually, a competition via The Post to create "The Face of h2g2 on Google+" might get you guys a little more exposure in the community.
Just a thought. If you've not got time or the inclination, we can muddle on without.
Cheers

hi
Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I'm not a member of any of these social networks so I never see it.
My first though is: as it was decided that we should have the same appearence everywhere we should have a modified picture of the Pliny header with the dolphins. This would also be easy to make.
A problem with competitions of that kind is: there are no participants. I tried it with Create and in Announcements asking for pictures but there are usually almost none submissions and all of them are photos. I'm disillusioned, sorry. H2g2 is just not a place where people happily submit artwork of any kind. Just like every desperate shout for new Artists brings no results.

If that's the way it is, the modified Pliny header would be fine.
I'll see if I can rustle you up some new artists at some point...

I'll do it as soon as I can.
that would be great, we really need more people and so far most who joined never or hardly ever contributed.
Key: Complain about this post
