I'm also glad that I went. So many nice people. Unfortunately my flight from Vienna was late so I didn't get the one from Düsseldorf to Manchester. I had to wait over 3 hours.

Oh, but it must be cold if it snows. We still have a few patches of snow.

Sorry you had to wait so long. Airports aren't fun to wait in.

The snow all melted, but it's a bit chilly today. Sunny, though. I think that was all the snow we've had all year, so we aren't complaining.

Also, since we got out last week so I could renew my driving licence, I don't have to go much of anywhere, so I don't care if it snows.

After how many years do you have to renew it?

Let's see...this time, it was six. But the new licence is good for 8 years.

Well, that's good, that it lasts longer now.

I jsut finished work, now finally going home. The project really is done now, I just have to print the pdfs tomorrow.

Good for you. I have to start a big project tomorrow. I'm just getting things set up so I can work flat out for about 3 weeks.

Lessons in world geography. I know, Mala has already laughed about this.

The lessons have to be expanded for Texas students.

We were just reading about a man in Southamption who had many spider bites. Good thing there weren't any spiders on your flight.

Yes, unfortunately.

How did he get spider bites? I hope they were not too poisonous?

Apparently there's a kind of poisonous spider that came to the UK from the Canaries. This one must have dropped into his hoodie in his garden. He thought he had 1 bee sting, so he took an antihistamine.

The spider stayed in there and bit him 10 times. He collapsed in a store. Fortunately, he was all right after being treated at the emergency room.

It will make you check your sweatshirts carefully, though.

That sounds awful!

Yeah. We're not too fond of spiders here. When they start coming in the house, we get the exterminator.

We watched a great movie last night. A French film, called 'Rubber'. Have you heard of it?

Ah, we don't have such bad ones here. We just put them into the garden.

Oh yes, I read your journal. I just had no time to watch the video. I had not heard of it before, I'm afraid.
