Long time since you've got some........?
Well, I KNEW what you meant...
Anyway, it's all into posture and hands.
Posture- standing up steadily, or sitting strait, so you can be abit leaned against. Very important, coz a should feel safe.
Hands- I like crossing, personally- one on the shoulder, one on waists and... dropping.... But hands give the feeling to it- firm grip or just a light touch makes all the difference.
Then there's the time you dedicate to your s- I like'm long...
Work on your technique, boy!

Nothing beats a good, long , especially if you're feeling ...
I like to think I'm a good er ... proportioned suitably so that the ee can get very involved and feel safe ...
It's never a good idea to grip too hard but once in while nothing beats a good squeeze ... as for the hug from behind, I find it one of the best and most ing things ever ... they're simply the best.
You have to be very close to someone before you can sneak up and 'em from behind ...
Dear Ekki
Yael Smith Posted Jul 11, 2001
Oh, yes... The from behind is great, though challenging. I love it, too. It's good when the ed is washing dishes or something... And I totally agree about the squeeze.
We can really write an entry about that, I think... Now I must check if there's one up already or not.
I'll get back to you on that.
Will you help me write it?
Dear Ekki
Yael Smith Posted Jul 11, 2001
If you want to help me write it- I've started it here:

Of course I'll help, El ... I read your entry and the comments made and I've found a definition for you ...
I've started a new conversation on the hug page ...
Dear Ekki

As I said over there *points to hug page* asking the community might be a good idea ... there's a wealth of loonies out there who'll want to add their thoughts!!
Dear Ekki
Ek* this space intentionally left blank *ki Posted Jul 13, 2001
... so want it to work!
That's fab ... couple of things though ... you can take the "s" of the end of waist as people generally only have one of them
The other thing was, I thought we could leave the "meeting at the rear" and "dancing" hugs for the types of hug. Most hugs in the true comforting sense involve a lot of contact, whereas these, although intimate are less involved ... it's up to you though, just a thought!
Apart from that YAY!!
Dear Ekki
Yael Smith Posted Jul 13, 2001
Ok, but I think the most common way of hugging someone is having both arms reaching from both sides of it, strait towards eachother, not diagonally... I think we should ask people about it...
And I've changed your term "Hugees" into "Huggers", coz hugees emphasizes the recieving, while huggers- the recieving, which seems more of the point about a hug anyway, at least to me...
I must say I really enjoy working on this with you!
Dear Ekki
Ek* this space intentionally left blank *ki Posted Jul 13, 2001
You know what ... I think you're right ... it's more common to go straight, rather than diagonal - not sure what I was thinking of!
The Male-2-Male hug is a diagonal thing but then I guess that can be handled seperately!
Still got nothing to do so am working out as many ways of hugging as I can!

Wow! Look at our entry! It grew so much! I feel like a proud parent, don't you?
Please check it tomorrow, so I can move it over to PR.
3 days- that's all it took!
Wanna do another? I think kisses should be dealt with, as well...

Wow, and to think that it all started so recently ... is this a world record for conception to realistion! It's going straight on my homepage! It was just a pleasure working with you, hun ...
I think another entry is a must ... looks like ing has already been done though ... ...

Hey there partner ...
Did you see ... it looks like we've made into The Post as well as being peer-reviewed for the Edited Guide ... ah, the dizzy heights of fame and fortune!
with pride ...
Dear Ekki
Yael Smith Posted Jul 19, 2001
Um... well, we didn't make it into the Post by accident, hun, Shazz asked me if I want it there and I said yes...I'm starting a column there, so I've used the opportunity, you know...
I think the ing entry is too technical, and quite undetailed- wanna start working again? We can make it so much better, I just know it!
Have you ever read the book I've recommended at the bottom of Hugs? It's wonderful! You must get a copy, if you don't own one.
And can I ask what's going on with you and QA? Is it another h2g2 couple in the making (like me and Mike), or just fooling around (like me and Inkwash)?
Dear Ekki
Ek* this space intentionally left blank *ki Posted Jul 19, 2001
O I C ... I was wondering how Shazz had settled on our *brilliant* entry!
I have to admit to not reading the ing article but in light of what you've said I'll zoom over there now and see what you mean!
I haven't read the book of hugs but I think I'm going to have to - how can I call myself an expert if I haven't read the literature! Another trip to Amazon i believe is required!
As for QA and me ... well who knows ... ...
to ing entry ...
