As long as there is plenty of SFX, blowing up, shooty stuff and gore, Mr P, then AvsP will be by me But the storyline will probably be crap.
The first films in either series were the best but one has to watch these things just to make sure.

Van Helsing looks fab. I mean... well, Hugh Jackman, what more to be said?
Saw the R&J thing, with whats-his-face. He played Hogan in the Sharpe things. (the Irish officer) so nice to see him teamed up with the Beanster again.
OK, lots to do, work for me, not idling away my time here.
sad to say

glad you enjoyed your mag Sho
I've been to see "Love Actually" today, I really want to discuss it and all the couples, but am hesitant not to post spoilers, for those who have not seen it _yet_.
I can highly recommend it, the soundtrack was and I and
Emma Thompson's character broke my and the most worthy bloke was someone I didn't even know, but, boy, when he got his kit off I had to remove my fleece.
I'll see if I can find out who he is, for my dear friends.
Thanks to IMDB:
I give the ladies something else to over

Rodrigo Santoro
He's 29, bless.
And that pic does not do him justice.
Nor does it allow you to hear his sexy voice.
With South American accent.

doesn't he just do things to your hormones?
29? same age as me ... when he took off his shirt and I saw those biceps, my ol' -hubs automatically passed me a and rolled his eyes! He knows me so well...
lots and lots of in that - interesting note, btw: Emma Thompson wore a 'fat suit' - which is a relief, because I know she's really slim usually.

Coniraya Posted Apr 27, 2004
I loved that film. I still have to get round to watching the dvd again and again and again.........

Thanks anyway Sho and GB!
Hmmm, 'spose I'd better catch up with the backlog now. Oh the things I have to go through...

That fic was great, Sho!
And *I* inspired it?
I knew which bit I inspired - I went all goosey when I read it.
The "sandwich" analogy came from my love of all things Friends - the one {quite early on...} when Ross was married to his first wife, and he suggested livening up their sex-life, and introduced another woman, and he ended up making the turkey sandwiches.
I just love Ross's expressive looks, and then Joey has an answer for everything even though he's v-e-r-y slow...
I'm gonna miss that show
I had no idea that Emma Thompson was wearing a "fat suit" in that film!
Did anyone else think the "chemistry" between Martine McCutchen and Hugh Grant was totally non-existent? I didn't understand why he got her "moved" from her job in the first place, was it because the PotUS made a pass at her? He was _such_ a creep...
Talking of Hugh Grant, I watched "9 Months" last night - well, Jeff Goldblum was in it as well and I suppose it was a "Moonlighting" fan who wrote that script?
Tonight my friend is coming round to babysit so I can go to the cinema to see "Passion" which ends here tonight.
I'll be watching the BBC3 re-run of Eastenders, 'cos tonight's the night that Zoe gets to wear her eye-popping dress and she pulls mini-Den
Lucky girl.....

Hi droolers,
I got in an argument with a lady last week when she said Leonardo Dicaprio was "too young" for me. He's about 29 - that's old enough , don't y'all think so? I'm only in my 30s! (Never mind the fact that I will never meet the guy) I dreamed about Leo this week, that he came to my graduation, and gave me a big sloppy kiss. Does that ever happen to you all, not just drooling daydreams, but actual nighttime dreams where you meet the guys you are drooling over?

I dream about my objects sometimes JEllen.
Just last night I dreamt about Spike/James Marsters - he sang to me and I woke up with the song in my head.
Which reminds me...
Methos!
This should solve the James Marsters Hair Question:

Oh, JEllenJ42, I've seen a trailer for "Eternal Sunshine" {I Jim Carrey} and I can't wait to see it!
I went to see "Passion" and I've written a journal about it.
The actor who played Jesus had the most wonderful eyes - they were golden brown, quite mesmerizing.
And I got an early birthday this morning
Gosh I'm hungry I could eat a but I'd settle for a sandwich

Sho - employed again! Posted May 1, 2004
oh is it your birthday?
don't foget, ladies, that fic is written by none other than our resident Mr. - Mr. Prophet.
RL sucks right now. Can't be bothered to ho hum.

I'm with you Sho re Joe Morelli and Ranger. If I was Stephanie, I'd have them both!
Currently thinking about an offer on amazon for a boxed set of all 14 Sharpe dvds - Is 66.99 too much? Am I becoming totally obsessed with this character? Do I care?
~drool~
Sho - employed again! Posted May 1, 2004
what's too much for the Gorgeousness that is Sharpe? Not forgetting all the others... Hogan and Harper being only 2 of them?
I'm in desperate need of Sharpe's Regiment and Siege... I've read all mine. pah!
~drool~
Teuchter Posted May 1, 2004
Currently ing my way through Sharpe's Company. My son has developed a taste for them too - and has overtaken me. Little blighter's supposed to be studying for A-levels. Think he's reading them for the swash - rather than the knee-buckling.
Now where's my 'off-the-shoulder' peasant blousey thing - and my hot iron for the seams in Sharpe's jacket............
~drool~
Sho - employed again! Posted May 1, 2004
are you reading them in any particular order?
I'm going by published date, because half my excuse for reading them is to see how Cornwell has developed as a writer, and to see how Sharpe (and the others) develop as characters.
There was a fab line in Honour about the soldiers marching and sharpening their bayonets at the same time. I'm not sure how accurate the historical settings are (since Cornwell is pretty up front about the bits he makes up, historically, it's difficult for me to imagine that he hasn't done extensive research)
I love all the little bits about the camp followers, and the bits about the Cavalry being a bit foppish... I write them out and send them to my dad (a Cavalry man by carreer) In fact, I think his original regiment had an Eagle as their cap-badge due to some success during the peninsula campaign...
of course, the "head picture" of the Beanster in his frogged jacket...
*rubs eyes*
er... where was I?

The James Marsters hair question. He's just shaved it all off! He's raised $25,000 for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundations in Los Angeles by auctioning off his locks, and he now has a shaven head!
Quote: "I've been looking forward to like looking in the mirror and seeing the old James - the one I'm used to. I want him back."
