Campino has a lovely accent when he speaks English, sort of posh... which really doesn't suit his exterior (mmmmm luverleee tattoos! )
Methos: Caerwynn is a regular, but she's looking for in the carribbean right now. Gwennie gets in when she can... Mr. Prophet is working hard, Fynn is busy I think right now, and Coley is infrequent but very welcome.
who have I forgotten?
Perhaps we should pimp the thread a bit more?

I think Mina lurks occasionally. I think Tefkat is quite a little goer and comes panting in here sometimes too. And JEllen used to have quite a bit to say.

as if I could forget AGB
and then there is that Regular Lurker person...
actually, there are loads of people who know about this thread
I'm not sure if I should be ashamed or not that it's on my PS!

Methos (one half of the HHH Management) Posted Mar 12, 2004
No, you should be proud of it, Sho!
So many people here...
Can't say that I really care about Campino. It's probably because the music of the Toten Hosen is so not my taste. Die Ärzte seem to be really funny, though.

Hi y'all, I know I haven't been around the drool thread as much lately. Maybe it is because I have been drooling more in real life. I've gone out a few times in recent weeks with a "younger man". He's a cute one - looks a lot like Edward Norton.

Edward Norton. The thinking girl's crumpet. Never miss a film that he's in - they are guaranteed to be good. The very first one he did that made him big, where he played that schizophrenic kid who turned out not to be schizophrenic in the end .... Mindblowing!

Ellen Posted Mar 12, 2004
Yes, Primal Fear. Gave me goosebumps. Actually, in some of his films, like American History X (I think?) he looks more threatening than cute. But I was visualizing Norton in Keeping the Faith, that sweet little comedy.

Attagirl JEllen - finding yourself a younger man.
Can we all share him?

Again with the lookalikes - a friend of a friend knows aguy who looks like Jude Law - with more hair. How unfair is that?

Hi JEllen!!! long time no see (although I do see you around from time to time)
sounds like you're having fun with your younger man

Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Mar 12, 2004
oh glory Edward Norton
sooooo sexy. Even more than usual when he got all beefed up for American History X.

"a friend of a friend knows aguy who looks like Jude Law - with more hair. How unfair is that?"
depends where the hair is.
When posting to this thread a few days ago, an ex-colleague of mine rang. I might have mentioned it at the time. I told her what I was doing. She was surprised no one had Kurt Russell on their list. (She never fails to surprise me with her taste in men). So, anyone ever lusted after Kurt Russell?
When looking at fellas acting in films, it very often depends upon who he is acting with. I remember William Hurt being so subtly erotic in "Children of a lesser God" - the film left me almost breathless. Then I saw him in other films, and, apart from Gorky Park, I didn't see it in him again. It was only when he played against Marcia wossername (the deaf girl, with whom he then went on to have a RL partnership) that he had this aura about him.
And what about Ben Stiller? Did anyone see any of the TV hype about "Along came Polly". He has a really nice body, is funny and clever and not bad looking. The sort one could get really interested in all round. He has to play it down or he might get into trouble with Jennifer Aniston's husband.

The Jude Law-lookalike turned out to not really look like Jude Law.
Kurt Russel? No, never lusted after him. Surely not.
But I know what you mean, TC. There are actors whre it's more the character they're playing than themselves that are worthy.
I've seen "Starsky & Hutch" on Thursday and let's just say that Owen Wilson is really with that haircut and those clothes.

I want to see Starsky and Hutch, I love Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. Though neither are quite as appealing as Luke Wilson

As for men being better in some roles, I was so mad about Jürgen Prochnow in "Das Boot" when it was first on TV 20 years ago, but as a person and in anything else, I just couldn't summon up any enthusiasm for him.

Well, I'm back, suntanned (in spite of the SPF30 and sitting in the shade quite a bit), chilled out, but to cheer you all up: I'm jetlagged and put on 2lbs thanks to all that rum punch.
There were some gorgeous men around and H had some lovely ladies to admire too. All tanned and in skimpy cossies. Such a beautiful island and every one was so friendly, English is the first language, Creole the second, three pin plugs makes recharging cameras easier and they drive on the proper side of the road
I have stood on the same boards as Johnny and Orlando, The Brig Unicorn was used in PotC and will be in the sequel

We had a sunset cruise on her, it would have been so romantic if we hadn't had a tropical downpour on the way back to Rodney Bay
Now for the back log:
TC, Christopher Judge was rather lovely in First Wave, had hair and smiled
Haven't seen any boy look alikes, but wotsisname who plays Jake 2.0 looks rather like No2 son.
Did French and German at school, but it wasn't until we lived in Berlin that my German was intelligible. I have forgotten most of both languages.
Methos, if you meet James Marsters, be sure to slip him the drool thread web address and get him to sign up to hootoo.
JEllen, go girl!
Nope, Kurt Russel does nothing for me, nor does Ben Stiller. But Marc Warren in Hustle, BBC1 Tuesday evenings, is growing on me.
I shall be spending the day mostly catching up with hootoo, tv recordings, laundry and supermarket shopping.

You can call me TC Posted Mar 16, 2004
I looked up "First Wave" but couldn't find any reference to Christopher Judge on it. I had never heard of it before - looks like it is (was?) an interesting series.
~drool~
Methos (one half of the HHH Management) Posted Mar 16, 2004
I'll try to recruit him. James Marsters, that is.
And I'm wanna go somewhre warm and nice, too. And stand on the same whatever boy was standing on.
Christopher Judge in First Wave? Must have missed that.
But I learned that Jason Isaacs played a part in the first season of Highlander. Going to see that, although Highlander only became really great once Methos hit the screen. Only my , of course.
