What I'm doing on my holidays

I went to V2001 which was a big music festival. I had a load of fun and saw some great bands. In order of goodness, here they are (I missed JJ72 
)
Phoenix: french. brilliant. effortlessly cool. buy their album.
muse: orgasmic
avalanches: sheer onstage carnage. They kept jumping off speaker banks at each other. at one point one of them fly kicked the keyboardist. marvellous
turin brakes: *shudder*
grandaddy: beauty
placebo: nice
coldplay: chris martin is a comic genius
starsailor: james walsh may have been drunk, but damn me can he sing? yes.
all the others were good too. but it was all so expensive...
here in edinburgh, the most important fact is that the pubs shut at 3 on average. heaven already, but when you add in some fine comedy (im going to see priorite a gauche. wahoo) and cool street acts im having a great time. and eating chips about 2ce a day on average. vigorous. the battered steak i had seemed like a good idea while drunk, but i dont think ill have another.

Another meet, another hangover (well, probably. i normally have them).
Fewer people, more guns. im going to be less rambling. i came last in laser quest bcause apparently my gun had decided that not causing people to die when i hit there targets would be a fun thing to do.
then we went and had ice cream, and then we went and had beer. i got drunk and said silly things that im sure i will regret.

I'm Happy

For some reason I'm very happy right now. this doesnt happen all the time, as people who know me may well attest.
Whyfor am I happy you may, with justtification, ask. Well, things i have been waiting for for literally years have all happened at once. And they all seem slightly shallow, but i dont terribly mind. My sideburns are finally good enough to pass vague muster. These have been a long held dream (2 years!) finally come true. I got me a leather jacket. with great big lapels, which is brown. wahey! im going to edinburgh, and V2001, both which are gonna be cool.
Oh and i got my house pussy. this is not even remotely grubby. if you really want to know, its a loosely knitted scarf, in my house colours. i got it for being so fantastically wonderful in the theatre. yes. And, whats more, im in another play in december! petey in The Birthday Party.
wow. that was a bit full on.
