Woah, simul-posts!
I've had one URL removed from a conversation, but apart from that my h2g2 slate is clean. I always was a bit of a do-gooder

I just dont want to end up in a job I hate...
I love art (well most of the time) and I love working with people and I'd really love to actually help people improve their artistic talent rather than get ignored and not helped a jot like those b******s up in my high school art department.
They give no encouragemnet or help and it's not helping anyone.
And I think I'd be a good teacher

One of my greatest fears is ending up in a job that i hate. But hey, Radiohead's 'No Surprises' is a song that I played 20 minutes ago
Being a teacher is a worthy profession, especially if you teach art. Teaching kids because of your own passion for art sounds like a great job

It just seems like a good career for me...I want to help inspire and help people my age now to be confused and ultimately terrified of the prospect of going to art school, never beng able to do what they see there and never getting a job, because that's how I feel.
The art department up the road has done anything but inspire me...in fact I think it's drained me of any inspiration I previously had!

but there must still be a flash of inspiration as you seem to be talking about it sooooooooooooooo passionately you would probably make a great teacher!!

My hearts just not in it anymore...and I don't want other students to be so disheartened, and if I study art I can specialise ins omething like jewellery or graphic art and then go to teacher training which means I have an art career and a teaching career and thus something to fall back on.
