I love watching the stars and as I don't have a curtain on one of my windows I get a perfect view of them when I'm going to sleepsmiley - smiley

That's one of the things I love about getting away from the city (on the rare occasions that I do), beautiful clear skies at night. That and clean air, *much* less noise from traffic, more wildlife...

I just love them, love meteors and all that...and night when I can't sleep I can sit in the early hours and watch the batssmiley - smiley

I think if I move to the city - which I am most likely to do...

*watches spider drop from her ceiling to her desk*

um...oh, if I move to the city the stars would be the one thing I'd truly miss.

You lucky so-and-so. Don't think I've ever seen a bat. One of the places I used to go to with one of the bands I used to play for, has loads of HouseMartins nesting under the eaves. I could watch them just coming and going for ages... not good when I was meant to be rehearsing though! smiley - winkeye

*finishes cutting her fringe*

Well I'm in the countryside so bats are just kinda there, there's this place in the west coast of Scotland called Caradale, when I was little my family (all of us, sisters, parents, grandparents, my uncle...the lot) anyway we used to go to the same house every summer, which we rented and there were woods and cliffs looking over to Ireland and stuff, but I always remember that it's the only place I've seen proper dragonflies and they were amazing.

I loved it there, could just sit on the beach - even in the cold and wet - and just stare out at Ireland, Eires rock (I think).

Sounds lovely! I think it was yesterday I saw a dragonfly, for the first time in ages, as I was walking through the woods at uni before coming home.

Can't find an Eires rock... if it's Ayres Rock, I think it's in Australia, allbeit renamed now... smiley - erm
