The Strooooooookes! They are so fab! Tickets for their Glasgow Barrowlands show sold out in about 5 mins but Claire knows the bloke who does their PR in London so hopefully we'll get on the guest list... Current favourite Strokes song: Barely Legal. Current favourite Strokes member: Nick Valensi. It's the cheekbones.
The Hives got me addicted to Swede pear alcohol-type stuff, but they do look so stylish in those white trousers so i'll forgive them.
King Adora tomorrow. I can't wait! Fabienne's got an interview with them for her magazine and I might be allowed to sit in with her. Gaaaaaaah!

And Papa Roach suck big time because they're just so whiny without attempting to be eloquent about it; although the guitar riff and the arrangement on Last Resort was class.
I've had too much uni work to do, that's why I haven't been here for ages. I'm so crap at uni, I just spend all my time in the bar. But I love that

yes I must admit the guitar riff in the back of last resort was a redeming quality but unluckily not enough of one.
But the Strokes are BrillianT!
And Ash are cool too although I'm just saying that cause I've got a signed poster of them! hehe my big sis brought it back from their gig for me...tis very cool!

the strokes are ace...just ace. if i was a stroke i would be the drummer. the hives are also good. they have immensly comical names which i cannot remember. one of them looks like supermario. their singer is very cool. mclusky are even cooler: lightsabre c*********g blues is the only song i heard, but still, you have to love them...hehe.
ash i dont like...their songs are a bit yawnsome for me. ive just fallen for system of a down...the singer's voice is mesmerising...
current favourite band are hefner though...anyone even remotely heard of them?
i thought the strokes werent touring til they wrote new songs? how were king adora? why is their album so short?
has mother stopped caring about her little girl's safety? is that why you are constantly at the bar? hows life treating you anyway?
i wrote an article on nu metal bands which you should all read if you like crap rhetoric and childish abuse

Hefner are so bloody miserable! It's like the stereophonics with their heads so far up there bums it looks like they have proper heads!

I quite like hefner but their last album was a bit pants and they weren't v good live at the cathhouse in glasgow. and ash are v nice: tim wheeler has lovely eyes and charlotte is v v cool. i skived school to meet them in falkirk last year. oh dear. i have a soft spot for ash cos it was the combined forces of them and radiohead (ie. Girl From Mars and Fake Plastic Trees) that properly got me into alternative music.
king adora was faaaaaaaab! soooooo good! new songs are excellent although they only played for 30 mins and maxi fell off the stage drunk at one point. and mummy has let up a bit but she can't stop me going to the union between lectures. she did, however, make the mistake of letting me go to 12 hour cheesy pop on friday night (8pm-8am) although i was getting picked up at 12.30am cos she wouldn't let me stay longer. eventually staggered out at 1.15am singing Panic by the smiths and trying to hide the fact that i'd drunk 3 vodkas+coke, 2 vodkas+orange, 3 slush puppy vodkas, an archers, a swede, a smirnoff ice and a diesel (lethal mix of cider, vodka and possibly blackcurrant, illegal in most pubs in the country) in 2 hours... wasn't feeling particularly stable the next day.
me is becoming obsessed with smashing pumpkins . Ava Adore and 1979 are fantastic. and Closer by nine inch nails. mmmmmmmmmm.
ooooh, head hurts

hefner? miserable? no! i say no! they are wry and amusing. and a comparison between them and stereophonics is blasphemous. and i really like their latest album. it turned me onto them, really. so ner but they arent my favourite band anymore. no, cos i bought royksopp, who are amazing...
ash arent bad...but they are just quite average, really. i mean, i can lasten to them, but its not terribly sophisticated stuff..
i dont know about you, but i cant stand vodka. i also dont know how you were still standing after that little lot. i mean, you may be scotish, but your tiny! if i had had that, i would be proped up in a morgue somewhere right now...still, you seem to be taking to student life like a fish to...er...ethanol...so yeah...cool
all im saying is that billy corgan looks weird in hair
and im off to switzerland...tomorrow! see youse in ten days, yah?

Good Angel - recently become obsessed to the point of psychosis with the film 'Bio-Dome' Posted Dec 17, 2001
bizarrely i seem to be able to hold my drink really well, especially if i just stick to vodka.
Billy Corgan does look weird in hair but when you see him like that you realise that he does have quite a pretty face he's just had crap hair all his life so no one ever notices.
every time i think of Switzerland it reminds me of Orson Wells speech in The Third Man about how Italy had hundreds of years of dictatorship and fascism and produced Michelangelo and the Renaissance etc, and Switzerland had hundreds of years of peace and stability and produced the cuckoo clock.
anyway, enjoy yourself. snow, chalets and hot chocolate in front of warm log fires... mmmmmmmmmm!

Being a fool I managed not to make a note of the earliest exam so that when I came back to Uni I found that I should have been at an exam a few days beforehand. I decided to skip some of reading week and stay at home
