GB, Fabulous architecture, plant life and skies. Gorgeous butterfly, you seem to get lucky with butterflies! Excellent photos and the woman in white was pretty classy too smiley - biggrin

Thank you for sharing. It was lovely to see it all without the travelling and the heat smiley - tongueincheek It all looked so pristine and bright, even the old buildings.

smiley - cheers

Of all the places we visited I can highly recommend Nerja, which had enough interest for every member of the family. The Nerja Caves are stupendous, there really aren't words to describe the feeling you get inside. It's exciting and spooky at the same time. I'd avoid Cordoba like the plague. Our tour of Granada was brilliant, from the top deck of a tourist bus. The Alhambra speaks for itself. We spent one night in a small town called Cerro Muriano, 17km from the city from hell, Cordoba, our substitute hotel was smiley - magic and cheaper by half too. The Spanish family who looked after us were wonderful, and when I entered the hotel room and was shown the facilities I would have been happy to have been being admitted for a surgical operation, it was that clean. A pleasant change from some places I had the misfortune to stumble intosmiley - yuk

Oh, bless, thank you smiley - smiley My son saw a Swallowtail when he was in Turkey and managed to take a photo of it on his windowsill. Wish I knew what happened to the photo. He is a minimalist so it has probably gone the way of so much other stuff.

Can I give Willem the link to your photos, I am sure he will be interested.

That's my holiday written up, with a blockquote section from Gordon describing the river walk he went on (while I stayed at the villa snapping a butterfly)smiley - orangebutterfly

I've sent along photos to enhance but they can't be blobbed in time, so Bel is going to hold over printing my account until the following week. Sorry to make you all wait, but I hope it'll be worth it in the endsmiley - biggrin
