We got a kitten on Wednesday, a 4-month-old tabby-cross from a rescue centre whom we have called "Goldie" (short for Goldilocks) the name was picked the moment I gazed into her liquid gold-coloured eyes
She's quite frisky but we've only had one broken bowl so far and I have a few deep scratches on my chest while she's still using my shoulders for a crow's nest

and you have to keep one eye on your 
to make sure it won't be tipped over
Laura met her last night and I just got a text off Liam "Hi this is Liam [] can u send me a pic of Goldie plz" oops, sorry Liam, my dark ages phone doesn't take photos 
and he isn't due back here until Monday. I replied that she'll be just as cute then but I'm sure he'll nag Laura into finding an excuse to visit us today
I'll try and upload a few more pics while she's having her breakfast

Well, the naming was two-fold. I'm drafting a Goldilocks Zone article (as you know) and I wasn't expecting the first kitten I viewed to have golden eyes, I thought they were all blue
She was mine the moment I clapped eyes on her
I'm allowing Andrew to sharehe thinks she is *his*

Hubby won't let me have a kitten, he says we have two perfectly good oldies... but they only go to him. They won't come to me unless they want feeding

it's an American cat, so you won't even have much in the way of language problems...
Oooh, I just noticed that Goldie likes shoulders, GB. Our Morris is two now and still wants to be carried around draped over your shoulder, so I wouldn't get my hopes up...

I am going to have to grow a thicker skin thank goodness for Aloe Vera gel
Andrew is doing the feeding, I am cleaning the litter tray, so yes, she is officially mine
As I predicted, Laura and Liam were round bright and early, Liam still had sleep in his eyes
Laura says her eyes are strawberry blonde, although I'm sticking with my first impression of golden brown. They go completely black when she's getting ready to pounce

GB, she's a keeper, for sure! So sweet...and so devilish! Also a shoe fetishist, I see.
Slightly OT, is Picassa easy to use? Here it is, 2009, and I still haven't gotten a picture place online...and my kitteh piccies piling up.
