Still small voices
You're hurrying, as you walk into the room.
It’s dead silent, but then you hear the single note of a piano piercing the stillness, freezing time for a second.
The note changes, becomes a slightly wistful rising and falling melody, and is then harmonised...
You feel compelled to take time out to listen, there's a seat right by you, so you sit, entranced, as the music swells and flows.
The single haunting note and melody appear again, the same yet different, higher and clearer than before.
The music draws to a close... you sit, still under its spell for a couple of seconds before continuing on your way... still hurrying, but taking the calm with you. ><>

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
