Sometimes nice, sometimes waste of time, usually waste of money.
Ah yes, and sometimes to be proud of:

Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~ Posted Nov 13, 2009
for years a few friends of mine went with me to rostock/east germany one saturday every december
we called ourselves "FC Onslow" and called the one-day-trip "penance" since the danish word "bodsgang" can mean both "doing penance" and "walking from booth to booth where they sell "glühwein mit schuss" ( = mulled wine with a little extra)"
i believe rostocks "weihnachtsmarkt" is the biggest in the world. too big for us now anyway. after returning too late to the last ferry back to denmark - twice! - because of dense traffic we gave up on it
it was usually too cold and wet and windy anyway - and once you've seen one you've seen them all
the first few times were fun so. good times

Why would anybody have glühwein when they could make glögg instead?
Thanks for advertising our basler christmas market, Hati. But why didn't you link directly to page four instead of having people read through all the introductory stuff first?

The sweetness can be... regulated. I mean, if I make it at home.
