A noodle or a werewolf? Must be the alienation effect of the full moon.

"The snake raised its head and hissed": It's a play.
The sky is overcast and it is hot and humid. The streets are quiet and deserted.
Now you've mentioned Nordic summers, the sunstroke I suffered was in Denmark, in a little village near Svendborg on the island of Fyn.
It is a vision of a countryside burnt to hues of yellow and brown. Above it an endless stretch of blue sky with a merciless sun beating down, down, down!
The shade offered no protection. There was no escape, not from the heat, nor from the sun or from this immense expanse of blue. It felt like drowning. So I collapsed under a tree, closed my eyes and was sick to the stomach for two days.
It was the summer of 1996. In June it rained continually. Suddenly, at the beginning of July, from one day to the other the rainclouds disappeared the sun shone without interruption until the end of September.
Yes, yes, those were the days. Perhaps I should consider becoming a farmer in South-Africa?

I remember summer 1996, my son was born then.
I was at Fyn first time in my life this summer. It wasn't hot at all but at least it didn't rain. I was hitchhiking across Fyn.
Today I was at the zoo (100 km from here) with some kids. It was a good but exhausting day. Every animal who had some water in their cage was bathing. We all wished to do the same.

Hmm, make sure you're out of the cellar by next Wednesday. From Wednesday on it will rain for three days stars at night.
At the moment the sky is still clear, but the weather forecast promises rain and thunderstorms from Wednesday on. So I'm not sure I will be able to witness them flashing through the nightsky.
Yesterday night, walking in the park, I saw a falling star. One. I surely did. I didn't make a wish, though. I'm too frightened it might become true. It once did.

I usually think something I miss the most but usually if I get it it turns out to be such a waste. After all I end with less I had before. Emotionally mostly.

I heard it on the radio, since 1901, the year the weatherstation started collecting data concering the weather, last night was the hottest in this and last century.
This afternoon some rain fell, but not much. Then it stopped.
I'm becoming quite lethargic, hardly slept a wink last night. I wish I was swimming in a bowl of milk myself, dear. Seen any good movies lately?

Hati Posted Aug 10, 2004
I haven't seen any rain lately.
As about good movies, the last one I saw was Van helsing and that was not any good. Not bad either though. Just a movie. Oh, and there was a quite good film on tv couple days ago, True Stories (USA 1986). That was a good laugh.
Today I was at the seaside. Both air and water were +20C, it was around 6 pm, methinks. Exellent time for swimming.

I went for a long stroll along the river. It was lovely. There was a sudden cool breeze. I listened to the leaves rustling in the silence of quiet night. I think the summertime really is the best of times.

My favourite time of the year is still ahead. I like old wives summer the best. All those colourful leaves and aching nature...
