My guide to life
My real name is Tania. I haven't visited the site in over a year, because I simply forgot about it. I recently decided I wanted to set up my own website, but didn't know how. Then I came across this by chance. Anyway, all about me.
My name is Tania Rahman and I am 29years old. I live at home near Croydon and I work at the British Museum. A lot has happened since I last logged on. Alongside my full time job, I also do a lot of volunteering. I have been a member of a Croydon based theatre group, EXIT Theatre Co-op for about five years now and have just completed my fifth production with them. The productions I have appeared in include: POPCORN by Ben Elton, VOX DEI (based on a Dr Who radio play) by Ian Wheeler, MASH, LORDS AND LADIES by Terry Pratchett and most recently, THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW by C.S Lewis.
I like to think that I work at the British Museum so that I can earn a living to let me continue doing Volunteer work. I am currently also a Volunteer at Somerset House in Central London. As corny as it sounds, deciding to join their programme was one of the best decisions I ever made. I orignally decided to join because I love old historical buildings and Cultural Institutions. Somerset House is both. I started off by helping at their Winter Ice Rink which the BBC did a report on. Since then I have helped with Educational Workshops. I love to wander around the Courtald Gallery, the Hermitage Rooms, and any other collections. In fact I have applied for a PGCE Course so that I can qualify as a teacher and really put my experience to good use.
I have always wanted to train to be a journalist or a writer, but never really broke into it. Then again, I've never really been computer friendly, so the idea of writing online never really occurred to me. I changed my goal to working in Culture and Heritage. Ironically, I'm now trying to share my experiences in Volunteering and Heritage by writing about them on as many websites as possible.
On the flip side,I rediscovered this website while exploring the Internet for information on Vampires. Weird!
