Dies ist ein denkwürdiges Ereigniss. Ich war vor zehn Jahren in Berlin. Zwei Stunden zu spät, was mir (wenn ich mich recht Entsinne) einen Beziehungsstreit zur Folge hatte.
Zwei Typen sind bei uns damals mitgefahren, die sich der rechten Szene zuschrieben. Sie wollten in Kreuzberg rausgelassen werden, zum "Linke-kloppen".
Wir hatten abgemacht, sie am nächsten Tag an der Gedächtniskirche abzuholen, irgendwann abends. Beide waren viel früher da und machten voll die Panik: "Die Linken kommen vom Alex her, es hat Tote gegeben, macht dass wir rauskommen!!!"
Heute denke ich mir, dass war so eine typische Jugendgeschichte. Aber wer weiß, ob es nicht tatsächlich Tote in der Nacht gegeben hat, und es wäre ja nicht untypisch, dass man so eine Sache lieber vertuscht.
This is a very memorable date. I was in Berlin 10 years ago. I was two hours late, which resulted in a row.
We were there with two blokes who counted themselves as "Neonazis". They wanted to be droped of in Berlin-Kreuzberg to go and have some "fun" with the Leftwing-people (I loose my translation-abbilities with this vocabulary 
)
We had said to pick them up a day later near towncentre (at the Gedächtniskirche). They turned up early, paniking that the leftwing-people were coming over from the Alexanderplatz and that ther had been people shot.
Today I believe this to be just a kind of adolecent story. But who knows about people being killed. Would very likely be possible this kind of thing was hushed up by the governement.

Well, I am back from my holiday, I have got another two days off before work starts back again. There is a lot of change going on at the moment, and it feels a little like new year (my work is connected a little to the schoolyear and start of school is always a little like new year, isn´t it?)
So I have done my newyears resolutions: I will start jogging. Daily. I will work more systematically with the two youngsters I have to look after. I will take my time and precisly think about the things I want to do and do them. I will reduce my weight by ten (10) Kg. I will find ways to comunicate better.
So. I have gone public. That is a tip from a book (Doing it now, by Edwin C. Bliss). Let us see if it works. Watch this space for further information about my progress

I have been looking at a few entries today. I normaly prefer the forums, the ones I have found interesting people to talk to.
Weekend has come along. I hope the weather will change soon. It´s just rats around here. Hate it.
I am very proud to present you with a new look of the "Ye olde hoopoe". I put in a drawing of the place (as it might be) go and have a look.

What a lot of stress today. So I´ll try to relax. It´s the Zoo tomorrow. Have good look, and make shure noone takes the penguin along home.

Well, the beer is ripe enough to be handed out. Anybody in for a pint, just come and join in. Lets have a good time, and if you start getting problems with your alcohol input, we´ll just see if we can find the alcoholic anonymous for you.
