There was something wrong with the website today, because I also was missing from it. But we're both back now.

I can't even get the Internet link to come up on my home computer. Thank heavens for the computers at work.

Christiane I am very sorry to hear that you have had some problems getting online today, I have also experienced problems this morning and I had to try several times before I successfully could log in. Just now I tried to post this message and it said that I was not logged in, so I am going to have to copy and paste every message incase it happens again. Also recently I have noticed there have been time out and service not available messages, more than usual.

There was a similar problem a couple of weeks ago where I was unable to log on as some parts of the BBC servers thought I was already logged in.
If that is the case (you should see "click here to complete your registration" where you'd normally see your name | Settings | Sign Out) follow this link or copy and paste the following one:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/users/logout
https://www.bbc.co.uk/users/logout
That will log you compleatly out and then you should be able to get back with your login name and password.

My very dear friends,
Well. I am sooo sorry that you have had so many problems. I cannot really complain because I have hardly been on my computer.
I am off today to spend a few days in a super hotel near to Keith. I decided that we both needed a break and in view of all the circumstances decided that I would travel there and then he could benefit from my staying in a really super hotel and be able to come and swim etc. In fact I intend to take my costume and go and swim. apparently it is a super pool.
So slthough the weather is sad and gloomy we shall be able to enjoy enjoy ourselves which is great.
I send you all our very best wishes for a wonderfully happy and joyful and blessed easter.
Go well, and I look forward to being in touch with you again on Tuesday 7th April 2010, when hopefully you will have all be able to have enjoyed a good rest and happy time.
With a great deal of affection from both K and I
I hope that you will be able to enjoy all the many sporting activities which are on today. It is the Formula one today. I do hope that Lewis Hamilton wins it.
your very loving friend,
Christiane

Thank you Paul,
It is strange but sometimes my postings just disappear - and this was one of them.
It is late and I am tired. It is really very demoralising trying to keep one[s spirits up when my darling Keith is incarcerated in hospital. I sometimes wonder what life is all about. I have been going to visit him on a weekly basis - it costs a fortune but at least I am happy that he is being well cared for.
Boy of boy. What a dreadful illnes he has - and so stigmatised and really just cast aside. It makes my heart bleed. And we are supposedto be a civilised country.
with much affection.
Christiane.

Civilization is a fragile thing, Christiane. We will know that it is going down the tubes when barbarians seize the government and close the libraries. This has happened many times in the last 3,000 years.
Closing schools would also hurt, and the prospects for education in the U.S. are very bad now. School budgets are being slashed because of the bad economy. Some places are seeing the worst cuts in 50 years. Some rural school districts are going to 4-day school weeks to save on transportation costs--i.e. buses.
