Gggrrr

Yet another guest has just told me what a nice life I have doing Bed and Breakfast. How once the guests have all left at 10 a.m. I have the rest of the day to myself. Yes, here I am at 10.15 a.m. lying on my sun lounger sipping a Pina Colada and reading my library book!

Upstairs the fairies are stipping the beds and remaking them with fresh sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers. They are putting out clean towels and bath mats and replenishing the trays with clean cups and saucers, new sachets of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and Kit-Kats. They are cleaning the bogs and basins and baths, empying the bins of unidentified, rotting bits of food left by the guests and hoovering the carpets. While the downstairs fairies are clearing the breakfast table of mangled bits of toast and marmalade, grapefruit skins and empty cereal packets, loading the dishwasher and getting the first of the three loads of washing out of the washing machine and on to the line.

With a bit of luck they will have ironed all the linen by about three o'clock and I will be ready to greet the next lot of guests with a tray of tea and home made cake as they arrive!

Oh it's a great life unless your guests are the "hard of thinking" variety.

Still smiling

It is about 5 weeks now since I joined up and I am still smiling as I go round and look at other people's personal spaces. And the funny things that come up for discussion! I just cannot resist logging on at least once every day and sometimes it is three times. I think I have become addicted.smiley - biggrin

Witty

I have just been travelling around this virtual space and I have to say how witty my other Hootooers seem to be - everywhere I go I keep smiling.

I am so glad I joined up. Besides all this travelling around means I don't have to write!! Bet JK Rowling isn't a member!

No Contact

Every morning I siogn on to My Space and for days now there has been no contact from anyone out there. I am getting lonely - do I have a BO problem or are you all too busy.

Of course, I do feel that I should be writing instead of prevaricating so maybe you are all hard at work on your creativity - in which case I shall stop looking for company and get on with my novel!smiley - biggrin

Reviewing

Have posted a story on Get Writing and see that I am obliged to review five other pieces of writing.

Having never reviewed anything before apart from sitting around with friends saying "I love Stephen King Books" or "Have you ever read a Barbara Cartland"? I will have to read the notes on How To Do It first.

Has anyone ever read a Barbara Cartland novel? I don't know anyone who has (or maybe they just don't admit it!
