I need a blood test, for diabeties and a function tests for my organs and other stuff.
I need an ECG, again.
Blood pressure test, again.
I need an eye test. My vision is getting burry/unfocused in the distance.
I need to get around to getting a dentist.
I need a hair cut.
I need to find out if I'm showing early signs of arthritis.
I'm starting to tink about askig for stomach reduction surgery.
I need to cut and bleed and stop feeling this way.
I need to hold back these tears.

I think you are right - try to get a stomach reduction! Some of your other problems might go away if you lose weight.

Mums arthritis improved greatly when she lost 10 kg. She didn't have surgery though, she had the Cambridge diet. She has kept most of it off, but some weight found it's way back...

And diabetes, blood pressure and heart should be better for it too. Get all the help you can, Dear!

Try not to cut though...

And others might replace them. This is major surgery we're talking; surgery has side-effects. (I know you'll look into it properly if you go for it, Nyx, but sheesh.)

Nah, that's just a fallacy put about by hairdressers to keep them in business. Still, society has come a long way since the old days: in the sixteenth century they used to cut people's legs off too. Fact.

Uhmm, it does sound very callous... But I believe it is an option nevertheless? Losing weight is a struggle, and with the right help this could work. And I believe other options have been tried already?

And I meant physical/health problems. The only soul help might be liking the fellow in the mirror a little more...

I know you're not being callous, Milla, and that you only ever want to help. I just think surgery's jumping the gun when Nyx hasn't yet had the tests he mentioned.

s. You know what I always tell you..... You are a wonderful person just how you are, weigh your options carefully on this one with the surgery, I know four people that have had it and they are all very happy, but look into it if it's something you want.

It's not something I want. It the last sodding resort. And I may not even be allowed to use it anyway because of the risk that I'll die under aneasthetic.

Is that more likely in your case?

Well generally speaking the more obese you are the higher the risk you'll die under a general anaesthetic because of the strain it puts on the heart and lungs and because the fatter you are the longer it take to get into and close up the body.
And 20% of people having stomach surgery get some kind of complication.

I see my GP tomorrow, I shall try to give a good account of what has not been right with me. And see what he has to say about me have surgery.

Get blood test, for diabeties etc on Tuesday.
ECG inconclusive.
Blood pressure test, didn't happen.
No recommendation for somewhere that does free eye tests.
Dental pain has gotten worse, will try to sort out dentist sooner rather than later.
Appointment for haircut on Tuesday.
GP didn't think it's arthritis. Didn't suggest any alternatives though.
Will be discussing stomach reduction surgery as option in more detail on Tuesday.
I haven't self-harmed.
Have cried.

Have now completely lost my sense of smell. I can not smell a thing no matter how strong. I'm hoping this is not a permanent effect of smoking.
I've not stopped coughing in days and days. I don't think I will stop until I've brought up blood and lung. I'm hoping this is not a permanent effect of smoking.

What was the ECG testing for?

You can get free eye tests anywhere, provided you're suitably poor. Just go into any optician's and ask for one of the forms for applying for free NHS treatment. I can't remember what they're called, but they'll know what you mean. Make sure they give you a postage paid envelope with it.

Dentists. Pah.

Have you recently given up smoking?

I don't know if I've stopped smoking recently, yet. I've not smoked since Thursday. But then I rarely smoke when I visit here... However this this time because of the persistant coughing etc, I'm extra keen not to buy a packet of ten when I get back to Haywards Heath... Which reminds me I need to get to the bus stop, now.

Once my hair gets to my shoulders it needs layering [appearance] and shortening [comfort and appearence].
