Oh, decided to make a quick bowl of nice hot creamy wheat porridge as I'll need something filling/nourishing, it's -26 C out there!

Missed you again - still no worries have just grabbed the pc while no-one else is using it to pop in and see what's occuring. It turned into a really veggy day - went and bought paint but the rest of the time just did a few domestic things and read . Great stuff Just started the new John Grisham but having trouble getting into it at the mo
No excuses tomorrow tho - have to make up for the lack of effort today methinks
Be back later so maybe catch you then honey

Hi Muv, unfortunately the computer decided to play up & make itself essentially useless! Rather than chipping away at the stone (so to speak) I decided to make a late lunch & clean up a bit. Now I'm actually getting somewhere. However I've missed you again & while it's not a real problem I do feel a bit guilty becausr I would've enjoyed a chat this afternoon & had ammended my plans to allow for such. However it sounds like you had a relaxing afternoon/evening, so that's good! We all need those once in awhile.
In any case, I assume you're sleeping soundly now. Hopefully we'll be able to chat tomorrow, sleep well & sweet dreams my friend!

Oh, I forgot to address that last questiom about the temp., - well, when you grow up with weather such as that Muv you usually learn to deal with it - or at least I have. The preferred method is to dress in layers with a windproof outer garment. And of course woolen scarves & gloves (sometimes worn inside/underneath mittens) are the norm. Naturally the stores carry heavier clothing specifically suited to the colder temperatures. This is a more typical winter we're having now, as I remember winters while I was growing up. Our record low here was -43 C on Jan. 12th 1885 & the record high (for the same date) was 9.4 C in 1891.

Morning Jaz'd
Just about to tackle some ironing but thought I'd log on and see if you're about - googly eyes say yes but by my calculations it must be about 3 am where you are so I'm sure you'll be soon.
Keep at it with the computer - would hate to lose touch now!!
I can understand what you say about the cold - I guess you just accept it. I'm not good in the although you'd laugh at that, cold for me is anything below about 5 I reckon. I've planned to move abroad when the girls are grown up and have their own lives, some nice hot sunny climate - hmmmmm let me just ponder awhile on that ........ feeling better already. How are your summers there? Do they compensate for the winters?
Well, best tackle a shirt - will pop back intermittently and hope to catch you then

Actually no, baking isn't one of my strong points. A very good bakery nearby though...as well as another one a bit further away, but well worth the trip!

Hi Jaz'd - that was a bit more than a mo wasn't it. The trouble here is that as soon as you get up from the chair a daughter jumps in and gets MSNing - no hope then
I'm not much into baking myself either - try to stay away from the as much as poss to leave more room for the . Just been watching Big Brother - d'you have that over your kneck of the woods??

That's ok Muv! I can understand what that must be like, knowin' teenage girls...to an extent. I've got 2 nieces in their early teens. Remind me to bring somethen too! Oh yeah, I've watched that a bit. The one I like is The Amazing Race, a race around the world with bits of scavenger hunt, etc. Do you get that?
