Hi. I sat down and painstakingly ()looked over Great Circle Routes A9948432 . I like your work just fine, but I do see a piece of my work that may need a correction in the 'A Definition' paragraph: "So, the largest possible circle occurs when half of the sphere was above the sheet and half was below." It looks like I allowed the tense to disagree and 'was' should be 'is'.

Btw, I'm still a little new here and I don't know, for example, if Subediting is a thankful job or a thankless one. In case it is the latter, may I just say: Thanks, you're the best!

Hi pailaway, the tense is now fixed - and thanks for your nice comments. Subbing is indeed fun most of the time, especially when an entry (like yours) is already in good shape. And also most of the time people appreciate what the Subs do.

I have a question for you. I received one correction so far on the "Great Circle Routes" guide entry. It merits a slight change to the first sentence.

First sentence: "Simply stated, a great circle is the shortest possible route between two points on the Earth's surface."

Should be changed to "Simply stated, the shortest possible route between two points on the Earth's surface follows a great circle."

Who do I contact about this?
