just another newbie!
oh heck, i really do hate the "about me" pages of these places! i never, ever know what to say, but here goes! i am 30 (well i was when i joined here in 2004!) and i'm a paranoid and neurotic single mother of an angelic and beautiful 1 year old. i have a mad siamese cat who runs the house, though she refuses to do the housework unfortunately! 
when i do have time for me, then terry pratchett is my number one author, i love the cyber world and chatting and making mates online, i love eating chocolate and drinking coffee, and i also dearly love the housework, washing and ironing, you know the sort of stuff, NOT! ;-) i'm very much a loner out there in the real world, and a self confessed control freak! 
i'm quite happy with the former, but ever trying to stop the latter! i'm slowly beginning to realise that i'm too long in the tooth and unlikely to change much now!
i'm just a lazy, dizzy lass really, who spends all her time trying to be a wonderful mum to a my wonderful daughter. :-) oh, and of course, it goes without saying that i do find time to feed the cat and give her the odd 
too! ;-) then when the 2 of them are tucked up in bed together, it's lil ole me time! as i can't go out anywhere after dark for fear of scaring the bogeymen, i log onto the pc and wandering around has brought me here. suddenly i feel the need for new scenary and new friends, not forgetting intellectually stimulating conversation of course! i don't bite, i think i have some sort of sense of humour left in me but not so sure about this thing called sanity ;-), and would love to get to know other members of the h2g2 community on the boards.
while i'm here i may as well ask that if anyone finds a life floating around out there looking lost, please can you return it to me?! cheers! ;-)
