Hi Tweetie! Here's what I think:

Code of Conduct/Hitiquette - Nobody is working on this now, correct? Things I think we should include are:
- Treat new researchers with respect.
- Be friendly
- Have fun (in large, friendly letters. )

Sainting rotation - I'm all for this. Any preference for order?

The PTB - In my opinion, the code of conduct will help with things, making us appear more organized and responsible.

GOD's page - It would be nice to see him show up for the occasional ceremony, but that's it.

I just feel uncomfortable with making the GOD persona into some kind of puppet that we pop in and out of. So I'll opt out. But that's absolutely not to say that you guys shouldn't use the character, it's just my personal preference. Perhaps it should be made clear which Arch is using Him at the start of the posting, so any comments can be directed to them.
Code of conduct- I guess I'm in charge of this, huh? Well, what I would like is to have all your suggestions and agreements, before going ahead and writing it. I'm not even sure that I want to write it. We'll see. Anyway, that's the way I'd like to work it- any objections?
Sainting rota. In order of induction? I take it Bruce and Zax won't want to be included... So, Dan, me, FC, GB. Which works actually, cos GB just did the last one. Shall we format it like Titania's noticeboard? How about the timing? I'm all for every two weeks, unless it turns into a circus with masses of Saints every ceremony.
Speaking of, does anyone wanna volunteer to keep count of the new Saints? I take it we're still doing the Archings every 20 saints?
The PTB- do we want them to take a look at this code of conduct before it goes live? I have no clue whether this is a good idea or not...
Sorry if I seem a little businesslike and forceful here guys, but I want this over as quickly and effectively as possible. And man do I sound scary...

Tweetie, that's OK. I am more comfortable doing the Sainting with GOD persona. I can get *into* HIM. The code of Conduct should be signed by us all & emailed to the Towers.

Code of Conduct - I'd be willing to do it, if you really don't want to. But overall, I think we need all the Arches to contribute. Maybe even the other Saints (they'd have to deal with it too, so they should probably have some say. But if it's not handled correctly, it could turn into anarchy.)

Starting rotation - Sounds good, but order of induction as an Arch doesn't really apply to you and I. Maybe include our Herald of Heaven in the list as well?

Saint counting - I already do that. I'll keep doing it.

The PTB - We don't need their input, just having a reasonable one might make them more comfortable.

Don't worry about being business-like. This has to be done.

Code of conduct: I don't mind who writes it, as long as they do it under the Archangels persona, that way we all have access. Everyone has the password and log in email now, right? As for the other Saints, they should have their chance to comment before it becomes official. I think what should happen is we write it, set up a forum for comments, complaints etc, and then when everyone's agreed, we make it official, signed by all Archs (including Bruce and Zax goddamnit, and even Matt if we can persuade him). That way we can control what happens, and everyone feels they've contributed.
Sainting rotation: I know it doesn't apply to us- I'm selfishly buying myself time before I do my first ceremony. If you object I'll do the next one, but I'm really quite worried about it. Insert embarrassed grin here Oh, and yes, include the Herald of Heaven. Remind me, cos I've gone blank- who's doing that right now?
Saint counting: fantastic, you're a doll How many are we up to right now?
The PTB: I agree. But once this is all sorted, we might need to get into a forum with them and talk about a few things...

Unfortunately, I'm gonna screw it up again The hi-tiquette entry. I really feel we have to do this. So, ideas, suggestions? I know some of it will be covered in the code of conduct, but lots of GAs are confused about *how* exactly to handle greetings, particularly with the PTB having us ACEs make it all about the guide entries (which I've avoided to a large extent)...
Jeez, this is exhausting...
Oh, and one of the Angels has just resigned in the face of all this being too much like hard w*rk. I think it may be St Dr John, but I can't remember. Anyway, it's in the thread entitled "Retirement" on the Angels page.
I think this is due to the not yet resolved air of panic in the camp. Knees-up in the Wings Bar, anyone? Just to get us all together doing what we do best- having fun and getting drunk

And I have "Chief Archangel Wings" {AA} in the Top Secret thread, denying that she gave her patronage up to start the AA's. Matt insists she has copied the Angel's pages code...for her AA's.

I think Matt took away her patronage.
Now, what we need is a statement as to why GAs can't be AAs and vice versa. Something clear and succinct we can tell everyone, so it's settled. Anyone?

I have asked Wings to explain to us on the Top Secret thread exactly what the AA's are all about. Then we can say what we think....as for being 2 seperate groups, why is "so long and thanks for all the fish" touting round Heaven asking the GA's if they'd rather join "them"? I have this image in my mind of a little devil sat on an Angel's shoulders....yet they say they are GA's "with attitude"...and Wings' remark that she is going to think up ways to kill GOD, won't go down very well, will it?

Nope. Frankly, I don't think she'll be able to handle it. I mean, managing Heaven is a heavy-duty responsibility. I think we've all realised just *how* heavy over the last few days
I know exactly what you mean. Frankly, I find the whole thing a little insulting. The "GAs with attitude"? *Chief* Archangel Wings? "No, we're completely not a part of the Guardian Angels, even though we've ripped off their name, I'm taking the piss out of the Archangels and I'm going around poaching Angels right out of their goddamn bar!". Yeah, right.
Grrrrr. Ok, I've finally got that little festering ball of venom of my chest.
Now, serious issue. They are *poaching* GAs from under our noses. We have to do something- personally, I'd like to threaten to bar them from Heaven and have serious words with them about it on their pages(ok, I'm currently seriously angry- I apologise). But that might be a bit extreme. So what do we do here?

Personally, I found that Angelwings made things unnecessarily upsetting after Matthew left h2g2...

Apologies for interrupting, Arch's. I spend half my working life sorting codes of conduct, processes, and the like out ... perhaps I can offer a bit of advice?

In trying to define any statement of what GAs are and do, you could try tackling it this way:

First, identify what types of "customer" you (both as Arch's and GAs) have got.

I think you have two types. You have newbies (who then evolve into h2g2 users), and you have your Angels.

For each of those types, try to identify these things (in the order shown):
- What do they need? (a list of things)
- What can GAs provide? (a subset of the first list)
- What will the GA organisation provide? (another subset)
- How will we provide it?

The "What the GAs provide" becomes a GA mission
The "How" becomes your guidelines or "commandments".

If you feel you're getting stuck, or going in circles. just send me your lists - I'll shape them up and send them back to you for review and more changes. A lot of GAs are looking to you guys for the answers, and quickly) - I'm aware it's a lot of pressure. Do let me help you.
