One of two regiments that I used to belong to - many years ago - ha!!
You know I never really thought about that - Charles grandmother being Mary Queen of Scots!!! I have always had a soft spot for Mary - we live near where she was executed - Fotheringhay: the castle isn't there any more - just an iron railing around a bit of stone of the castle with a plaque on. The corners of the iron railings have iron thistles.
I had wanted to get married in the hotel in Oundle, The Talbot, it has the main staircase that she would have walked down. H'ever, that was not to be - maybe for the best
I don't think she ever had a chance - being brought up in France with their airy fairy ways & then face to face with the somewhat rough & brutal Scots lords.
Anyway, off for a quick shower before "Pitch Black" on ch.4 - don't what it'll be like, but it's sci-fi so can't be that bad
Cheerio & take care

How long have you had this much trouble sleeping?
What work do you do?
Sorry if I sound intrusive , but it may be worth a visit to the old docs - don't take tranquillisers though
Do you read a book just before you go to sleep - that helps me at times, especially if it's a good book - gives me something else to picture in my mind.
Hi

Im not working at the moment .when i get a job or go to college i guess my sleeping patern will be sorted plus i wont have time to think about things
Hi
Shirps Posted Sep 26, 2005
Ah yes, that explains alot - when I had to give up work, I spent many nights up watching TV, etc., until late hours.
What are you thinking of doing at college? Any ideas?
I guess from the word thread that you are not keen on saboteurs? Neither am I
Hi
Boxing Baboon (half here an half there ) Posted Sep 26, 2005
Oh in november i have a 5 week computer course
And yes i think if its a word game it should remain that
With me not sleeping i think of allsorts the reason why im here and what are my goals in life etc .
Hi

Oh not another IT expert in the making
Guess it'll be a bit of programming/problem solving/hardware more than the usage??
Agreed with the word game statement, but you can find out how some people think, that's why I thought you may be against saboteurs - I've forgotten the word you used after "saboteur", but it was not heartwarming
Might be an idea to imagine if none of us were here - what a peaceful planet it 'twould be
It's good to think of goals in life, as long as they are not totally impossible. Did you watch the prog. about the DaVinciCode last night? Having gone through following the clues in the book & talking to various writers (including a priest from the Vatican) the three decided the most important thing in life was not to necessarily follow a religion, but be a good, kind person to others. That seems a pretty good philosophy to me, even if you do get kicked in the teeth sometimes.
I watched the Sci-Fi film, but had seen it before - not bad, but not terrific.
I had another phone call from a software company today (Serif) - they do pretty good programmes at a very low cost. Therefore I have a photo package winging its' way to me for a 2 month trial - they reckon it has 95% of the workings of Adobe Photoshop. I shall see - just have to work out now where to get the cash to pay for it!!! Oh dear - I'm not really gullible, but as I explained to him, I will be working more on photos - trying to mend the damage done by the awful photographer we had at our wedding - I may be able to move people about in the group picture & change the colour of fake flowers that the caretaker had left lying around - pink!!
off for tea again soon ...
Do you cook for yourself?
Hi

Hiya
Its a course on website building etc
I think i watched that programme when it was on last time.was it with tony robinson?? It was suggesting that the blood of christ may still be flowing threw ppls vains today
The age of digital is great i hope you do manage to fix the photos
And i cook sometimes but im no expert
Hi
Shirps Posted Sep 26, 2005
Ah! Now website building is something I know absolutely nothing about - no need, so I won't bother
No, different programme, it was solely following the clues that the book laid down. H'ever, the book was saying the holy grail was the bloodline - J & Mary were alot closer than the Vatican like to be known
Yep, hoorah for digital - no more waiting for film to be returned to only throw away tons of photos!!
My nephew (aged 31) moved into his own flat at the beginning of this year - he'd never cooked in his life, but managed to completely soot out his kitchen by leaving something burning - ah well, I'm buying him a couple of eggcups for Christmas
Tea time - yay!!
