BTW I think when the current 'Angel Applications' thread comes to an end. I think something along the lines of 'Click Here To Apply To Be A Guardian Angel'. As the current phrasing could be a little confusing...

as far as the angel apps threads go... i have an idea on that... you COULD copy the source code to another entry.. then just let the previous die out.. that way you can start fresh, using all that info you "wish you'd known then what you know now"!

also, if you want to hide Heaven a bit better, you could move it to that other page.. you know.. the one with your real name?

anyway... i'm gonna sign off for the night... let me know what you wanna do about the egroups thing!

As far as setting up new pages. I think if it is necessary to sort out the pages, a few 'dummy' blank forums will should suffice...

heya... i think you should read this: http://www.h2g2.com/F44382?thread=57157 it's not bad, but it shows just how clueless she is as to what it's all about. i don't know if you want to revoke a sainthood, but you DO need to set her up with a savvy saint to take her in hand. one with LOTS of time... will jenkins, or maybe one of the others. i dunno. but i have no patience for her... probably because she seems to just be standing there and saying "i can't" rather than actually trying. i don't think (personally) that she wants to be a saint. whatever you wanna do...

i just thought i should also mention that clelba (recently 'applied' if you can call it that) is BRAND NEW to this site. she's been here all of 4 days.

just thought i should tell you. can't see personally how a newbie can really be of any help to a newbie... i just keep having the phrase 'the blind leading the blind' floating thru my head....
other than to walk around with the halo what do they do..? and who knows if they'll even stick around? they may decide they don't like the site...?
as always, i do not question your judgement.. simply make sure you have all the info i can gather...

to be honest, i DO think you should set a minimum 'age' limit... a user that's been on for even as little as a month has probably been faced by most of the questions and quirks of h2g2... younger than that, and they usually don't have enough of a clue to help themselves, let alone others! not to say that i don't like helping the saints.. i love it. i just don't have time to help the saints that have elementary problems and need hand-holding, as WELL as helping the other saints and newbies... you know? i think this element also discourages other people with experience from joining us... i don't know, but i think there's NO reason why we shouldn't be able to tell people that if they survive for a month they can join... once again, and as always, it's your call. i'm not trying to make this selective- i know you REALLY want to keep this egalitarian, but don't you also want us to be EFFECTIVE? hmmm.....

i'm off to study- math test tomorrow..

there's a CHAT feature, file dump, link list that we can build (i took the liberty of putting up a couple) and my favorite feature, a POLL! we can have a bunch of polls for the gang, can let the gang come up with ideas for polls, etc... but the cool thing is we can get some real feedback- and it CAN be anonymous or not, depending on how you rig the settings... remember that discussion we had earlier about the next elected to my position? well... we could let them all vote on it! cool, huh?

ok, so let me know what you think, and if you want, we can set up a time to go use the chat room and hash out some of the finer points in real time rather than like this!

i don't see the use of the hotline thingy for young saints... why not make an "angels in training" group? one of the more available saints can play shepherd, and every couple of weeks or so there can be a graduation, when they get their wings and halo! that'd be fun, i think... kinda like what you did with the flight thread with st peter.... we all really enjoyed that. we could start a training thread, and give each applicant a pair of training wings, and then let them try it out. i think the ones that stick with it will appreciate it as a way to ease into the whole vibe... rather than getting thrown in cold turkey, you know? they'd all get sainted, they'd just get the idea BEFORE the wings... you know? it'd be handy too, cuz then you could have regular sainting ceremonies!

i'd be happy to lend a hand setting it up- only if you want help, that is! (don't want to pile more stuff on a busy god!)

anyway, lemme know..

by the way, it let me set you as co-moderator for the group, and it gave me the ability to let you post uncensored.... just promise me you won't go inviting mad gerald to come streaking!! LOL!!
