Thanks for that, Venus. I will be in touch shortly and will share with you a little more of what building a semantic web is all about.Maybe you can remove your post now to avoid the misguided who sometimes feel it is fun to be subversive and offensive and would send you unsolicited mail.
Can we do that here? Remove a post?

Nonametraveller Posted Aug 11, 2003
lol....you know then....(chuckling)
certainly pleased that i am not working at the mo..i guess that once you are there it will be fine and you'll get into it....so you are actually in a greenhouse? ...or is it a nursery centre with shop and outside parts too?...( tracking you down girl...tracking you down...lol)....you had better make sure you have got plenty of cold water on hand...they say this heat is here for a while.
Cool by me..but i do battle a bit with the humidity.
Had tp pop out to Epsom this morning but other than that i have been louning today....tried working ...but couldn't get going at all....don't laugh...i even tried doing some touch typing exercises and Stone me if the software doesn't come back and says....
"was that a serious effort?...best you leave it for the day and try again when you are a bit more alert"
I swear that is what the bloody computer said to me earlier....cheeky thing i thought....lmao
oh well...i hope youe first day back was a good one...sure it was...maybe catch up with you later.

helloooooooo...god its hot!!
Oh it reached 97 degrees in the shop today...much too hot for me. The shop area is a greenhouse, thats the bit i work in. We have an outside canopy, with plants in, then a outside area with trees, shrubs, water features, pots, allsorts...on the other side of the canopy we have another area with all the aggregates in, also fencing and compost. Its quiet large i spose, but i've seen bigger!!
Hey!! you got a smart bit of software there havent ya....tells ya when your crap!! i like it!!
I'm just waiting for my dinner to cook, wish it would hurry up. i'm hungry!
I hope you have a "sniffer dog" then, cos i'm not THAT easy to find lol....hehehehehe...although surprisingly Rebs & Di did'nt have any trouble finding me
You've got mail btw !!

The heat i am fine with but i struggle when the humidity is high....it would be nice to have a serious thunder and rain storm for a half hour to clear the air a bit!!....one of the beauties of life in SA.
97....sheesh....yep..i'd say that is hot to be working in. apparently records were broken yesterday and the bookies are busy paying out half a million....and they have lowered the odds on it being broken again. I heard some guy talking on the radio ...and he was saying that he does not think it will be long before the 40 celcius mark is broken over here!!!
I couldn't believe it when it flashed that message up....lol....it almost motivated me to go and do it again.
So you had a nice time meeting people off here then?...how did it go?...did you find it as easy to talk freely?...were they who you thought they would be?, i mean in personality and looks?
sniffer dog...huh...i'll have to backtrack ...can't remember what that was about....lol...sorry...
Blimey!!
~:*-Venus-*:~ Posted Aug 11, 2003
ha ha ha i Have to backtrack alot..your getting as bad as me lol..lmao..sniffer dog...cos you saif you were tracking me down
Rebs was exactly how i imagined and because we'd talked on the phone alot, i sorta new they would be the same. Di was'nt how i imagined looks wise. I always imagined she was dark haired, funnily enough she imagined me to be the same
It went really well, we talked like we'd known each other for years
It was a big step for me, and i'd probably do it again
We are going to meet up again soon. Course they know Elsa too, and have met her many times, would'nt mind meeting her myself, she is just the same in real life as on here

I have never met anyone off the internet...always thought it a bit weird...dunno...never really thought about it seriously. I guess that is why i am asking how it went. I did suggest to someone else that i was chatting to recently that it might be nice to meet ...and straight away wished i hadn't...i would hate to spoil it.
However, if i am honest i suppose that is also a bit of a kop out....lol.
How long have you been chatting with Elsa for?...I enjoy that girl very much i have to say, to be really honest jen i am actually missing her not being around....lol....it is certainly quieter without her....don't you think?.....lmao.....so do you think you will get around to meeting her?...

I think you have to be "selective" of who you meet. I met my Ex of LD..best thing i ever did, regardless of what happened.
I knew Elsa on LD too, we did'nt chat much to each, but were quiet often involved in the same conversations

I would'nt say its a Kop out, if it dont feel right, then it dont However its always a risk that the person wont live up to your expectations...and that can spoil things, depends what you want form a meeting really..hmmmmmmm
Ho hum
I guess i'm not as vibrant as elsa still it would'nt do for us all to be the same eh!!

I was also thinking to myself that if i was going to start meeting people then i would ask you if you fancied having an afternoon or evening.
Can you imagine how boring the world would be if we were all the same..
Well that is the thing Jen...how can you be sure that what people are like on here is how they are in reality
Blimey!!
~:*-Venus-*:~ Posted Aug 11, 2003
hmmmmm Its a case of....you just dont know what to expect....I think the key is to meet someone with an "open mind" that way you cant be disappointed...If you go with the intention of starting say a relationship, then you can be really disappointd
Thats just my personal point of view, cant speak for other people of course

no i think that is very sound...makes perfect sense. i think that would have to be the only way to approach it.
What sort of vibe did you have with your ex when you met him?

~:*-Venus-*:~ Posted Aug 11, 2003
aaahhh my Ex Andy...Well we exchanged photos, text alot, but never actually spoke on the phone before we met. We'd been chatting on LD for weeks, and got on great, same sense of humour, alot of crap in our lives etc etc.
Anyway we kept saying that one day we would meet up...then on afternoon while i was at work i got a text asking to meet me in London...So on the spur of the moment we did. I was sooooooo nervous anyway he met me at Liverpool st. We'd agreed that when we met it would be a hug and take it from there, no expectations, just as mates. Well needless to say we just clicked, it was instant...and it was the best thing i have ever done...sorry gotta leave it there...that still tough to talk about

Nonametraveller Posted Aug 11, 2003
hey sorry jen....didn't mean that......i won't go on....but once time has healed things...which it will....i hope you are able to take all the good things with you and remember the laughs for what they were.
So how was work anyway....you never said over and above the fact that it was too hot.
Blimey!!
~:*-Venus-*:~ Posted Aug 11, 2003
Its ok...i'm coping
aahh work, well other than being hot, it was DEAD!!. no-one wants to by plants n stuff in this weather, apart from the "die-hards" that would come in even in the middle of an earthquake!!!
I've got loads of bubls come in that i have to display, done some of it, but it was just tooooo hot to start humping boxes and shifting stuff about
Key: Complain about this post
